Response to Using the stick

I wasnt saying Police K9s are no good. Les Flores ex champion police K9 trainer and DVG nationals champion and worldwide competitor has told me a few times that Police handlers and trainers are often times below par. He says top sport dogs are many times much better than the average K9.

Now Ive also had many people tell me that when police show up to bite work events they get spanked. I dont know if any of it was true thats why I asked the question. My personal belief is that Police are never the best at anything because they have to split their training time between so many different things. I also believe the average K9 is far far and away better than the average sport dog. Also that the top K9s are equal to if not better than the top sport dogs. What I am saying is that a civilian who dedicates himself with a sport dog can beat the police at their own game.

Add to this that many K9s are dual trained, patrol/narcotics for example and youll see that most K9s are the jack of all trades master of none. Just my .02 cents not to insult anyone.
