      >>I could on forever, maybe a more specific question on this may help me focus in.<<

Q - ok, just quickly then, how is the dog taught to return to the object and resume guarding after a defense?

A - He is encouraged by his handler to return to the object after the bite and the decoy will immediately go to work on focusing on the object. The dog will not be allowed to bite until the decoy is within one meter. Once the decoy enters the one meter zone, the dog is allowed to bite. The decoy will wait for two seconds and begin to retreat. The moment the decoy retreats is the signal for the dog to out and return to the object. If it is a puppy, he will win the rag and be encouraged to return. Remember, the decoy immediately goes back to work on focusing on the object. We do not encourage barking.

      Bob
