I found out last night that Storm McNally (formerly Storm Bergin)
recently past away in California. Storm was a three time member of the UDC and USA Schutzhund III clubs with three different Dobermanns. Storm also won the DVG Nationals in 1994. Storm had more recently been training Giant Schnauzers, but she still had a place in her heart for Dobermanns. Storm moved from Colorado a couple of years ago, but she had some helpful and encouraging training tips abut Jago before she left. Storm was a great trainer and person and will be missed.

That is a shame. Storm was a wonderful person and a great friend of the Doberman. She bred some great dogs under the vom Donautal prefix. She went to the Giant Schnauzers when she started losing the Dobermans to cardio at a pretty alarming rate:(
Vaya con Dios, Storm.

My understanding of why she moved towards the GS community is that they had a greater appreciation for the working ability of their breed then then the doberman community of that time.
I first met Storm up here in MN in 1985 when she was trialing for a SchH2 -- got a pup out of her first litter with Diana that was my first SchH 3 dog. I trained with her many times in her place in IN. She worked harder than anyone else I've known to try and improve the temperment of the doberman.
When she was breeding there was limited information about some of the health issues.
