Dog needed for movie

I have someone that needs a dog to use in a movie. The requirements are as follows: The dog must be cropped and docked. The dog must be black. It can be male or female but should not be excessively small. The dog needs to be crazy for the bite and also very high prey drive. There will probably be scenes of the dog flying through the air. The dog must be able to work indoors in confined spaces and around people without nerve issues. The dog must be social and good around people, no dogs that will be sharp or civil during filming. The movie will probably be shot in the NE or Canada so much will likely be indoors, not on an open field. Finally, the person needing the dog is a top Schutzhund handler so they will be able to handle the dog. They do regular movie work with various dogs. I believe they need to bid on the scrip fairly soon. Compensation details will be through them. If anyone is interested, please send me an e-mail privately at KLewis222@bellsouth.net. Also a note, I would let my female Elischa burgestate do this with this handler in a minute but unfortunately she is braun so I do not have the option.

I'll probably open a can of worms here, but I think it's crap like this where the media try to cultivate a particular image of the Dobermann which gives the dog a bad name for good people and a good name for bad people.

What I mean by this is that when a movie comes out portraying the Dobermann as vicious, normal people develop negative stereotypes of the breed which leads to breed-specific legislation and insane crap like that. True Dobermann-philes should be weary of letting their dogs' sport ability to be exploited for film makers. Usually after movies like that come out there's a rush by thugs to buy the toughest, most bad-ass Dobermann they can find which is also no good for the breed.

Another can of worm to open is the whole cropping/docking thing. So long as the media depicts the 'correct' Dobermann as having mutilated ears and an amputated tail, American's will continue to insist on these cosmetic mutilations.

All in all it is not good to show biting Dobermanns in the movies. It raises the liklihood of negative public perceptions. Something which does not need enhancing.

It was ok. It was marketing some new black shell taco, and it put out a lot of images of black things. In one frame it said black dog, and pictured a black Dobermann lounging in a down position looking rather regal.

its a dane and I saw it and was like wtf do they need to show a cropped black dane is a damn taco bell commercial ? advertising for food but lets put a dog in there too.. totally unnecessary.. but whatever.. you can't change how stupid people are you can just help to educate/inform them..

As for cropping and docking.. both my dogs are done.. I also worked for a veterinarian who specialized in ear cropping for three years, assited in the surgeries too. It is a painful useless procedure. I don't care what people might say.. but after living with cropped and docked dogs and natural dogs of different breeds. There is no legitimate reason for cropping and docking anymore. its 2009. not 1900. I used to prefer just cropped and docked dogs, but it is true we are mutilating our babies for "better" looks some would say. But I think the natural dogs are gorgeous
