We've started an online figure painting tutorial over at http://www.timelinesforum.com

the project will be run as a real-time, step-by-step tutorial where participants can follow along with each step at home, and ask questions. the project leaders will be posting photos at each step. any participant wanting to post photos of their work as they proceed at home is welcome to, but participants are not required to.

we'll be painting 2 US OIF figures simultaneously... one in artist's oils and the other in acrylics. Jaume Ortiz will be leading the acrylic painting tutorial, and Pete Herrera will be leading the artist's oil tutorial.

the goal is to clearly explain and demonstrate each step required to execute the DCU and Woodland BDU schemes on 1:35 scale figures, while following proper figure painting techniques (i.e., the stopsign rule for highlights & shadows). those who choose to participate should find that their figure painting skills on these camo schemes are improved.

more details on this group project can be found here:

we hope you find this of interest and choose to join in. we very much believe that these sort of group tutorials are a good thing for the hobby, and we plan to run additional ones in the future covering other painting and sculpting subject matter.
Thanks
jaume
