Response to Stalingrad

The winter of 1942/43 introduced the pullover fur lined anorak in field grey. I have seen pictures of German soldiers improvising by using white sheets that they had made to go over their winter anoraks. They covered their helmets with the same material or white wash. Also in the winter of 42/43 saw the introduction of the reversible winter parka uniform.(field grey outer and a white interior for snow camouflage) Also with the winter parka uniform came the toque and mittens. Hope this info helps.
