What anoracks are you referring to? The ss started wearing fur-lined pull-over anoracks during this time period, but they weren't at Stalingrad. I think most of the soldiers at Stalingrad were still in their great coats. Some units were fortunate enough to have the 2 pc reversable suits, I imagine alot of those guys may have possibly been late arrivals (ie replacement, engineers, and specialists) who may have arrived shortly before the trap was sprung. Some may have been flown in after the encirlement too. These suits were mouse grey on one side and white on the other.
