just a question to all you great modellers out there, what do you use for tree bases other then real branches and such. I am making a diorama of a bombed out building in an area full of vegetation. Any tips, suggestions, and thoughts are more then welcome.

Also what could i use for short grass that is around the house being that i dont live near any town or city and trips cost a lot. Any suggestions on how to make this realistic and eye popping are more then welcome.
