...or at least, what i can remember (it WAS two days ago, after all!! <G>)
*Inés the Extremely Tiresome tells Tarta he will find a woman who will appreciate and love him the way he should be, but she is not that woman. Tarta still wants to try, and he kisses her. she pushes him away, gently, and tells him No. Tarta says he's leaving and does.
*Auntie Ditz notices AA Mateo is spying on them at Suave Owner's restaurant. she tells Mom. of course, AD thinks that he's there because of her and so she's all pleased her "plan" is working. Mom knows better.
*seeing the men headed toward him (so AD can talk to Mom for a moment in private), AA Mateo hides in the men's room. coincidentally the men --who don't realize he's there-- follow him into the men's room, so AA Mateo overhears Suave Owner and Suave Martini Guy talking. SO tells SMG he is serious about Mom.
*SO escorts Mom home and asks if she'll invite him in for coffee. Mom says no, because of Gus being home (only of course, he isn't). SO accepts this with a good grace, and goes to kiss her and she kindof evades it. He tells Mom he wants to spend more time with her -- it will be hard to go home and sleep alone. They agree they'll see each other tomorrow and this time she does let him kiss her. he tells her that now (after that kiss) it will be even harder for him to go home and sleep alone. he goes to leave, but she stops him and asks him to take her with him -- she doesn't want to sleep alone tonight either. They get back into SO's car and drive off. Natch, AA Mateo has been jealously spying on them the whole time.
*At SO's apartment, they're kissing passionately. As SO goes to slip Mom's dress off her, she gets a sudden attack of nerves. He apologizes if he's going too fast; Mom tells him it's just that it's been 10 years since a man has seen her naked. He confesses that he's nervous because he doesn't want to blow it with her -- she's a very special woman and even though he’s not exactly a novice, he's afraid he’ll do something wrong or that she won’t like. They make love. But in the morning, it looks like Mom is going to leave without waking him (she hasn't left yet, but she's all dressed and he's still asleep, and she hasn't made any sort of move yet to wake him up).
*Junior arrives like the cavalry at Tony the Brat and Jailbait's hotel room, just as Ruffian #2 is about to rape Jailbait while TtB watches without being able to do anything to stop it (since he’s being held immobile by Ruffian #1). Junior merely knocks the two goons out and would leave them there as he hustles TtB and Jailbait out the door, but TtB cannot resist giving Ruffian #2 several hard kicks for what he had been going to do to Jailbait (i don't think he bothered to do that with Ruffian #1... i also didn’t see him take the videotape out of the player, so hopefully it was packed. ‘coz otherwise it’s been left for the goons to find...). Junior takes them to a ritzy apartment or house that is, he tells them, another one of DIddy Dearest's properties. TtB and Jailbait can stay there as long as they like, Junior says. He hands TtB a set of keys and leaves. one of the kids (don't remember which one, i think it was TtB) thinks maybe they should leave and find someplace else to hide, but the other suggests they take some time to regroup instead. They decide to stay, at least for the night. Jailbait gets out a joint and lights up, saying it helps her think.
*Junior reports in to DD about getting the kids out of the hotel and set up in the hideout. DD asks what he told them, and Junior pretty much repeats what he said to the kids. he hands DD a set of keys, telling DD they're copies of the keys he'd given TtB.
*the next morning, Mummy María is surprised to find TtB in his room, packing a few things. she goes on about how concerned she is, how Father Anselmo told her about Jailbait's OD and so on. TtB says that FA is exaggerating and keeps trying to minimize MM's concerns. MM tries to convince him to come back home, and says that Jailbait's parents must be worried about her, too; TtB snaps that Jailbait's father kicked her out and it is clear TtB is determined to stay away from home as well.
*meanwhile, Jailbait is back at the hideout, taking a shower. DD lets himself in with his keys. he brazenly walks into the bathroom just as Jailbait is getting out of the shower. without saying anything, he hands her a towel. Jailbait doesn't look too happy.
*Gus is all excited about the baby. he's overjoyed at the idea of being a father and that Vero is the baby's mother. he tells her over and over again how much he loves her, and says the baby will unite them. Vero is keeping herself to herself and Gus is desperately trying to break through her icy barricade. he tells her they need to forget about the war currently between them and focus on how they feel about each other. he loves her and he knows she loves him. he tries to get her to admit she loves him and for a moment she seems to be weakening. he tells her he has something he needs to explain to her, something that will make her understand everything that's happened lately, and he starts to tell her the truth, but she asserts herself at this point, interrupting him and telling him there isn't anything he can say that would explain, never mind excuse, his traitorous behaviour: the fact that he's willing to sell himself to his enemies, to forget about his plan to avenge his father's murder, and especially to forget about all his dreams, and her dreams for him. that is a betrayal not only of them, but of her baby. he again starts to talk about "our" baby and Vero snaps there is no "our." her baby no longer exists. it was too little to be able to withstand what was done to her. her baby was killed by the very people Gus has decided to leave in peace, now that he's got their money. she tells him there are only two sides for her, and he's on the wrong side now. she no longer has any time for compassion and forgiveness -- it's all about revenge and hatred now. and she is going to get the people that murdered her baby. Gus is stone-faced and grief-stricken by the end of this. broken, he leaves without saying anything more.
*Gus is blindly stumbling down the steps outside the room when he meets Nancy coming up. he bleakly asks her why they didn't tell him about the baby earlier -- if he'd known he would NEVER have started this whole plan. but now Vero doesn't want to know from him. he had come to tell her the whole truth, to explain how everything he'd told her recently had been a lie, but now his baby no longer exists and Vero hates him. she told him that she'd rather the baby never even be born than to have him for a father. at least it all helps The Plan -- The Plan is going perfectly, he says bitterly. i hope you're all happy with yourselves. Gus is beside himself with grief and misery, and it's clear Nancy feels for him, but she doesn't do pretty much the only thing she could to help Gus and Vero (which would be to take Gus back to Vero and tell Vero she has to listen to Gus, and then back him up when Gus tells Vero what's really been going on).
*Nancy enters the room to find Vero crying her eyes out. she tries to soothe Vero, but even though she must know what would most help Vero is to tell her the whole truth, and Nancy is clearly frustrated at not being able to do so, she doesn't say anything to the point.
*Gus goes back to the taller and tries to relieve his grief and frustration by beating up a car. it doesn't help. he collapses in a miserable heap on top of the broken glass from one of the windows and just sits there. Chepe comes in and Gus angrily accuses him of deliberately withholding the information about the pregnancy so that Gus would go on with the famous plan. Chepe assures Gus that he, too, found out only after it was far too late. Had he known earlier, Chepe says, he would never have let Gus even start to go through with The Plan. he asks what Gus wants to do now, and with a hard, bitter face, Gus says The Plan is most definitely on now -- no mercy, and no holds barred.
*the next morning, Tarta enters the taller and finds Gus sitting on a bench, having apparently been there all night. Gus tells him they are going to start cleaning up the barrio and asks Tarta if he can get some C-4. Tarta can.
*Dr Slime, with Repulsiva and Junior in attendance to make sure he comes up to scratch, uses electroshock "therapy" to subdue and stupify a struggling Tere, who protests pathetically that she hasn't done anything. (Dr Slime looks just reluctant enough in this scene that had the reinforcements not been there, i have to wonder it if he really would have gone through with it....)
*Vero is at the shooting range. like Nancy (and unlike the "old" Vero), she's now targetting the head, not the torso. she remembers some discussion with Esteban the Unstable that i don't remember except for the end, where EtU tells her that Gus will betray her, but he (EtU) won't be there to pick up the pieces. EtU comes into the shooting range at this point and Vero tells him she thinks she made another mistake. they hug.
*Gus and Tarta break into what looks like a nightclub of some sort. they plant bombs around the room. Gus sets the timer for 3 minutes and starts it. the two are just getting out of there when they are stopped by two bad guys, who have them at gunpoint. and the timer counts down...
