*DD meets with FBBG and insists FBBG kill Chepe. FBBG is somewhat dubious about DD's sudden interest in a truce after everything that's happened between them recently, and also wants to kow why DD can't take care of it himself. DD replies that he can't do it because under the current circumstances (the investigation), he would be the first to be suspected -- that's why he wants FBBG to do it for him. DD promises, on his honor, that he will guarantee FBBG anything --FBBG's safety, the safety of Jailbait, whatever-- provided FBBG does this for him. at FBBG's insistence, DD swears it and they seal the deal by slashing their palms before shaking on it, blood brothers ("the old way," says FBBG). afterward, DD goes home to his house in a total state and completely trashes his study in frustration, rage, jealousy, and possibly --possibly!-- even a touch of actual heartbreak. Mummy María has another guy!! (Repulsiva was right!!) he can't believe he was so blind!! he keeps ranting that Chepe won't dare go near MM ever again, but Brie (f/k/a Junior) is frankly dubious and we can see that at least some of DD's rage is because he knows Brie is right and he is wrong, since there is nothing to stop Chepe from approaching MM (well, nothing until he gets killed, of course). after DD's calmed down some, he tells Brie that he needs him to kill someone for him. but this will be the hardest kind of assassination, he warns Brie. he's going to have to kill someone he knows: Repulsiva. DD says he just can't take her any more and she's outlived her usefulness.
*FBBG, after going home and thinking about it, goes to see Father Anselmo at his church. he's carrying a big metal briefcase. he's awkward, and uncomfortable, but as respectful as his nature will let him be. he tells FA that although he doesn't believe in God, FA is the only person who not only helped Jailbait, but who had no ulterior motives for doing so. Jailbait cannot stay in rehab forever, he tells FA, but even though it'll only be six weeks until she gets out, it's possible he (FBBG) won't be around to see it. if that is the case, Jailbait will be all alone in the world -- her mother is a completely useless tramp who doesn't give a rat's ass about Jailbait. FBBG admits that he knows he's not a good father, but he loves his daughter. he gives FA the briefcase and asks FA to give it to her if his fears are realized and he isn't around when Jailbait's time in rehab is up. he opens the briefcase to show FA it's full of money. before FA can say anything or protest, FBBG turns and walks out. (i've said it before and i'll say it again: the compare/contrast between FBBG's genuine, if often mishandled, love for his daughter and DD's almost pure self-interest-only dealings with Tony the Ex-Brat is just so stark. FBBG may not have much of a clue about how to be a father, but at least he does care about Jailbait's well-being; when the chips are down and she really really needs him, FBBG is willing to suck it up and do what needs to be done, if perhaps in his own rather arbitrary way. DD, on the other hand, has several times shown himself to be completely willing to abandon his own kid at the first sign of trouble.)
*rodeo club. Chepe turns up after the shootout is over and is so rattled from his encounter with DD and Mummy María that he totally forgets all the rules about his staying behind the scenes. he displaces some of his own frustration by trying to yell at Gus for not following FBBG when he went to meet "Escorpión" but instead, because of Vero, choosing to follow the gunmen back into the club. Gus basically tells Chepe to stuff it, points out that he saved Vero's life (which he did), and stalks off. someone on the O-Team (i forget who) bawls Chepe out for his exposing himself so unprofessionally. meanwhile, Vero/"Erica", EeBI/"Bodyguard", Marcela the Undercover Hussy, and her Skanky Narco Mark/"Boyfriend" all escape and go to some big ol' mansion that i think, based on subsequent comments, Vero/"Erica" says is some safe house of her Deceased Narco Supposed Hubby's. there they continue to discuss the deal they're going to do for the drugs SNM/"B" wants to unload at cost. eventually they come to some sort of an agreement and Vero/"Erica" and EeBI/"Bodyguard" and their "goons" leave, saying they'll be back in the morning to finalize things. they offer to give MtUH a ride home or something but she seems to be totally getting into her undercover role and so turns down this perfectly innocuous chance to safely leave, saying she'd rather stay with SNM/"B." she snorts coke right in front of them while they're doing the deal (and i think i remember seeing her do that last night at the club, too), and when Vero and EeBI return the next morning to finalize the deal with SNM/"B," MtUH is hanging all over SNM/"B," dressed in only a long t-shirt. SNM/"B" cheerfully tells Vero/"Erica" and EeBI/"Bodyguard", in so many words, that he and MtUH had sex in just about every room of the place, and MtUH looks pretty pleased about it. Vero manages to get MtUH alone and expresses her concern. MtP gets a little bit huffy and insists she knows her limits; Vero tells her she's not so sure about that any more.
*Tony the Ex-Brat gets MM to tell him what happened to upset her, and is shocked when he hears that DD actually hit her. but then he tells MM that even though he knows he owes Chepe a debt of gratitude, he really worries about Chepe's motives in approaching MM now. he seems to be convinced that Chepe is doing it all as another way to try to get at DD, and thinks it's particularly slimy since it's using MM to do it. his friend comes over to pick TtE-B up so they can go out to work, but TtE-B says he's not going because MM is upset.
*Chepe goes back to the office, has a chat with Nancy during which he pretty much admits he's off his game. he's in love with MM, but he totally mishandled things that evening and put MM in a very bad situation. and he threw down with DD. he tells Nancy to cover for him -- he has to go see MM and make sure she's ok after everything that's happened.
*Gus goes to meet with FBBG and tries to convince him to tell him who "Escorpión" is by pointing out how terribly suspicious it is that no sooner does FBBG get a phone call that confirms he's at the rodeo, than all these armed gunmen turn up and start shooting. but FBBG knows he's temporarily got the upper hand with "Escorpión" right now and he calmly insists the shootout was not an attempt by "Escorpión" to kill him. and he still won't tell Gus who "Escorpión" really is.
*SO turns up (this was what interrupted Mom's conversation with FA about CAMB), and tells Mom he has to leave for San Francisco in a few days on restaurant business, and he really wants Mom to come with him. Mom is pretty pleased at the invitiation.
*Auntie Ditz and MatAAo are sightseeing in Chicago as they still have three hours before their appointment with SO's friend the doctor and they're trying to distract themselves.
*Chepe shows up at MM's to talk to her. TtEB tries to tell him to leave MM alone, but MM comes out and tells TtEB she needs to speak with Chepe. once they're alone together, he apologizes for exposing her to such a nasty situation with DD, and tells her again that he loves her. she tells Chepe that she doesn't really know what she feels, but this had made her realize there is something that she should have done a long time ago. Chepe and we all realize she's referring to confronting DD. Chepe begs her to let him come with her when she sees DD, to protect her, but she insists she has to do it by herself. unhappily, Chepe agrees.
*TtEB goes off to work, but he's still upset about MM. some guy offers him a joint. later we see that he accepted it and took it and a couple of pills home with him. the next morning, when he realizes he's alone in the house, he takes them out and looks at them consideringly.
*Vero calls Gus and thanks him for saving her life, but then hangs up without letting him engage her in conversation. Gus has been doing a lot of work on his computer (maybe trying to break the code on the old Narco tapes?). now that he has the Swanky Penthouse, he's no longer sleeping at Mom's. but the next morning after he's had some coffee and the too-brief call from Vero, he does head over to Mom's, presumably to check in or something. before he gets to the front door, however, CAMB detains him by getting out of her car. she's still wearing the same clothes she had on yesterday when she ranted at Mom that she was Gus' REAL mujer and not Vero, and her makeup's a bit smeared. Gus is shocked when she confirms that she spent the night in her car waiting for him to come back (but fortunately he seems to have had enough sense not to tell her he's got a new place now -- let's hope he keeps that sense!). she comments bitterly that he didn't come home to sleep, then tells him she's come to say good-bye. after this he's never going to see her again. ahhhh, if only....
*Repulsiva (mostly), aided sortof by DD and Brie, has been trying to tidy up DD's wrecked study when the doorbell rings. DD snaps at Repulsiva to get the door. of course, it's MM, who comes in over Repulsiva's vehement protests.
in the promos, we see MM facing DD down and telling him she's come to do what she should have done a long time ago: break up with him. DD belts her across the face.
