What would constitute an adequate sign for Anselmo?
I was thinking about this last night... Anselmo is asking God for a sign that he's taken the right path (not telling the world that DD is the Scorpion, et al): what would such a sign be? Chepe surprising him in his rectory office, asking him for help in hiding out and staying in contact with Gustavo? (It's a miracle! He's alive! I didn't cause his death!) A highly localized earthquake (either in LA or Mexico) that just happens to open up a wide fissure, swallow up DD, and squeeze shut again? (It's not nice to fool with God.)
Any thoughts?

Okay, while Chepe's lying low (as in hiding out and hopefully not eating a dirt sandwich), clearly the Brigada needs someone with a cool head on her shoulders to take charge. One might think it out to be EtU, but we know better, don't we?
I was wondering (judging by how quickly he showed up after Nancy's call) if Chino was the masked gunman. The one thing that surprised me, though, was that both he and Nancy appeared on camera. Apparently, they aren't involved in undercover work any more.

with an ounce of sense most of the time (even Chepe has been starting to act a little off since the whole Maria thing started). Chino might, but he doesn't seem assertive enough, and has Sufer Boy just dropped off the face of the earth or what? Actually what I see is Nancy taking over and doing a great job until EtU comes back from LA, blunders in and takes over, and proceeds to screw everything up.

But, they've been pretty good with the plotting (LI's claimed pregnancy angle apart), so I suppose anything is possible. I found myself what story DD would cook up to satisfy Vero, if they do come face-to-face. Would he tell her that he was being set up, that he was brought to this meeting to meet with an important informant who was going to squeal on la Escorpión? After all, he is wearing a tuxedo and there is that stretch limo to consider... Maybe he'd tell her that he got a mysterious message too.
A: "¡Mijita...! ¿Qué estás haciendo tu aquí?"
V: "Puedo preguntarte la misma, Papá. Estoy aquí trabajando en un asunto muy delicado. Te pido que te vayas."
A: "Y yo tambien. Por favor, vete Veronica."
V: "¿Yo? No me voy a moverme de aquí hasta que llegue la persona que me mandó una carta muy particular y ese vestido... ¡la Escorpión!"
A: "¿Eh? ¿Eh? ¿Qué estás diciendo, Veronica? ¡Yo tambien recibí una carta de este desgraciado, y pensaba que yo pudiera acabar con él!
And so on... If she starts talking first, she'll give him every angle he needs to play on her words and cook up an excuse. However, seeing as how she's already developed some serious mistrust of him, no matter how she pretends it's Happy Families, maybe we could actually see her -- over the next 6 weeks -- work on bringing him down or actually participating in the investigation on her dear sweet Papá.
