Greetings,
and welcome to the HAUNTED LIBRARY.
I am Vladimira!

Donna Dark and Darkstar have asked me to
show you around THE HAUNTED LIBRARY.

Strange things have happened here...
Unexplained odors drift by. The sweet smell of roses,
or the heavy smell of pipe tobacco filters in.

At times, the odor
of pipe tobacco is so strong, it is as if were blown
into your face by unseen lips. Or the sweet smell of
fresh oranges...all of a sudden, overwhelm you.

Shadows appear and disappear...
A misty figure may materialize in front of you.
It may be that of a nun, left for all eternity to
search for the same book, night after night, in the
rare books room.

It might be the the misty figure of a torso
that is seen suspended in mid-air. Is this
the left over residual life-energy of a
20 year old college freshman girl, murdered
in the "stacks" area, circa 1918? Does she still await
the arrivial of he beau in their favorite
"secret" spot?

Those that see her say the odor
of lilacs permeate the area. In that area, a book
of love poems is always found on the floor. Do
her invisible fingers leaf through these pages when
no one is around? At one time, the book was removed
from that area, and nightly, the sounds of weeping
was heard until its safe return. It was in this book
that the lovers hid their precious "words of love."
The night her body was discovered, a note was placed
in this book for her!

NOW...
Donna Dark and Darkstar have asked me to ask YOU...
for any TRUE GHOST STORIES or STRANGE EVENTS
that have either happened to YOU PERSONALLY,
or someone VERY CLOSE to you.
These must be TRUE!
[to the best of your knowledge]
[No points for "making things up."]

They have told me that they are currently working on
a book about HAUNTED LIBRARIES and BOOKSTORES.
Who knows, if your story is about books, libraries,
or literary ghosts...you may be quoted in a book
for ALL ETERNITY!!!

But Remember...
ALL TRUE STORIES ARE WELCOME HERE.

Now,
Let the mood be set...
Candles are burning bright,
darkness is creeping in,
THINK GHOST!

lost in the woods

December 21 2002, 8:24 AM

one day, i will tell you about the weirdest shit that
happened to me in the woods back in '89.

one day.

(it scared the hell out of me)
maybe i'll post it later.
i still hate to even THINK about it.

eeeeeeeeeeeeh.

i know something happened to you guys back in march.
why don't you post it.
i think it is rather uplifting in a way.
it gives hope, in this otherwise bleak life.

anyone else got any?
