New here and happy to have had the invite from Jill.
My husband and I both have CHF he has SHF and I have DHF. Tomorrow we have our appointment with the cardiologist for our check up. He let us both go one year because we were both stable last year. I have been having some problems, SOB, chest pain at rest plus and was looking forward to making the appointment for the first of the year. When I called the front desk girl informed me that we would be rotating between the PA and the doctor! My health plan charges a co-pay for a specialist of $30 and I'm told we have to pay the same amount to see this PA who is not even a doctor let alone a specialist! I am also quite concerned about the problems I am having and his capabilities of taking care or me. Has anyone here had to see a PA instead of their heart specialist? I am feeling very anxious about this appointment in the morning and thought maybe someone here has had this experience.
