Hello to you old friends and new ones. Thanks for thinking about me. I am doing well 2 1/2 years post heart transplant. I had my check-up on Valentine's Day, showed no signs of rejection and no other problems. The doctor's say I'm their poster girl. I don't have to go back for another biopsy for 4 months. I am staying busy still volunteering with our transplant awareness group and serving as the Georgia Transplant Foundation Mentor coordinator for Emory University Hospital. To the newbies, I was diagnosed with CHF/Dilated cardiomyopathy in 1994, experienced sudden cardiac death, had 3 ICD's, maxed out on all the "right" medications, before having my transplant evaluation. I listed on June 13, 2002, was hospitalized July 19 until I received my heart which came on August 3. I am very lucky to have received my gift of life in time. If I can be of any help to anyone, either post here or just email me direct. Hope you all are doing well. We had a great holiday season and Tony and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in January. I am staying busy with speaking engagements and playing the organ at my church, and camping with my family.
