Yes, John there are a surplus of gators here in Florida. However, they are still protected! Earlier this year, officials were contemplating charging a home owner who killed one that was coming through the front door of his house. You can shoot a burglar/robber coming into your house but you better not shoot a gator. (:->)
They are considering changing the law in order to allow land owners to kill nuisance gators on their own property. I doubt the "environmentalist wacko's", will permit that to occur. If it should; I doubt my back 4 would produce enough gators to make the harvesting of them a profitable enterprise.
