I was thinking could we train ourselfes to be aware of false awakenings because DAM I have a lot of them when I'm lucid and I think a lot more people have them.
I think you could be A LOT LONGER LUCID THAN NORMAL,
because now I see that most of the time I when I'm lucid I really don't wake up but's it's a false awakening
Next time I wake up, I MUST do a reality check! Creating an automatism should really improve my "lucidity frequency".
Why false awakenings after lucid dreams?
When a lucid dream fades away, the first expectation is always "oops, now I wake up" and your dreamworld will follow your expectations: false awakening! The solution: never trust your expectations and always assume you're still dreaming!
Perhaps if you put a sign or something near your bed so you could see it first thing when you woke up that said "are you dreaming" or something like that, it'll help remind you to do a reality check first thing.
