I was wondering if one could have a lucid dream durring the day.. I mean not just at night but like at 3:00pm or 5:00 pm ...? I never sleep around those hours but I know of friends of mine who take naps at those times and they say they have dreams.. cause It would be cool to LD not just at night..
so can it be done?
tajunnannalliset unet eivšt ole mielestš vaan vain toinen ulottuvuus tutkittavaksi...
Also, the more you sleep at night, and take a nap at noon time or after noon, you have longer REM stages, these are great for lucid dreams and WILDs because when you sleep, you enter dreams (REM) fast, and it's more easyer to remember you wanted a lucid dream.
Today I slept after noon and my dreams were very very vivid.
I agree on how good for lds are afternoon naps.I never had Ld this way but i have had 3 OBEs which all occured during my afternoon sleep. Also found that length of afternoon nap is somewhat important-2 hrs gives pretty vivid dreams and good recall.Longer decreases recall, shorter might be not enough to have a dream
I've had dreams at about that time in the day and a little bit earlier...
Once you get past the point that you need dream signs and other things to help you get into a LD then you really can have them whenever you want..unless you don't go into REM sleep..
But most of the time I always have enought time to get there...slow down time..and spend a while in the dream...
Its really nice to have an LD in school..but then again you gotta look out for those sex dreams..it can be quite an embarrassing moment that you would not enjoy explaining to 23 people..trust me...this is why I try not to go to sleep at school anymore..
Yeah I had one the other day on the bus. One minute I was sitting there with my eyes shut, dozing the next I can see my front room at home. As soon as I figured what was going on, the image faded away into nothing though.
Oh yeah and it happened again but I could see pretty much what I would see if I looked out the window of the bus. But I knew I still had my eyes shut. Once again, this faded quickly (must have been hypnagogic imagery i guess. Still havent learnt the art of pasively letting it develop)
