I gave my NovaDreamer away... whenever I saw the red flasing when I was dreaming, there was a thunderstorm in my dream at the same time and the lightning was red! (so I thought it was normal)..
so, I gave my dreamer to my friend, lol



I am strongly against Nova Dreamers!
I think there a waste of money! Why not just set your watch to go off during the middle of night so maybe you will hear it in a dream or train yourself to reconize a dream symbol??? oy!!!!

It isn't a magical device that will make you lucid. The point is that the cues are incorperated into the dream and you need to pick it out. That is what happened when you saw the red lightning. You need to train yourself to use it.

I heard that the nova dreamers stops working after a while because you get used to the cues and have to keep increasing the light intensity, is this true? I may be getting one.

It sounds like a strong concept, but for 300.00, I was kind of skeptical. It sounds like it is working for you, when you have red lighting, you are doing it. I think color would work better than sound, not to wake you up. You are there!

Is WAY too much...i mean just think what you could spend that money on instead. Its not like its full of cutting edge technology either.

Why not try using a simple on and off light timer with Christmas lights that blink on and off arrayed around your bed headboard at a time that you will most likely be dreaming? Or perhaps plug a small cassette tape recorder into the timer with a message something like(You are in a dream, etc). It certainly beats spending three hundred dollars.

Christmas lights around your head, maybe a better idea than writing a computer program that produces flashing lights. That last one was an earlier idea I posted yesterday, but I think I first gonna buy and try a good accurate timer and some lights. It misses the REM-detection of the NovaDreamer, but I guess that this is not the real problem, if the timer starts the flashing after 4 hours, and then some flashes every ten or twenty minutes, there WILL be a moment when the lights are flashes and I am dreaming. Thanks

This forum is serious about LDs, I think some people that have not had them, relax you will. Being pulled out of your body and going back to it, is nice.
