A few days ago I was in was in work and all of a sudden a wasp landed on my hand (The odd bug every now and then comes in through the air con). I have a phobia about wasps but I just looked at it and moved my hand and it flew off. Then I remembered about a dream I had the previous night. I dreamt that I was holding a wasp (about twice the size of a normal one) between my thumb and forefinger and it was struggling to move. Thats it - but over the past few years I have dreamt things which I dont remember about until the following day when I see something and think 'I deamt about that last night'. Does anyone know what this means?

Wasp/work dream analysis

August 10 2002, 7:26 AM

Ok - If I have this straight, a wasp really did fly in, and you shook it off (instead of freaking out) and then you dreamed ....

Ok- first off it appears that having confronted difficult situations before, and overcoming them, you are now more prepared to deal with daily problems in a mature manner. Like everyone, you don't enjoy problems, but you now realise that they are a part of life, and when they do arise - you work your way thru to a conclusion.
Double -size wasp - and you grasped it and held it and took a look - VERY GOOD - so some 'problem' (person? new boss/A-Hole) comes along, all powerful, and wants to change everything. Rather than be fearful for your job, or getting stressed out, you sit back, take a look, probably not realising how much power you have over the situation - and, by handling it in an extremely reserved fashion, you take the power away from them, the power to hurt/control you. I don't see you being friends with a wasp, (arent wasps only concerned for themselves?) but you can work with this situation. Good Luck!!

remembering dreams the next day/triggers

August 10 2002, 7:37 AM

yup I do this all the time. As long as we are not talking about - jumbled/latenight eating triggered/junkTV dreams -stuffed full of crap you saw as you watched the tube while rummaging in the fridge - which dont mean anything except an overactive digestive tract firing chemicals thru the bloodstream while your brain is trying to SLEEP -

Dream memories triggered the next day are usually slightly precognitive, depending on the subject matter. Many times when the business world/personal life is too hectic, and consequently sleep is not as refreshing and peaceful as it should be, my dreams will be quite enlightening as to the situations around me, I will see the people that I deal with regularly, and someone will provide a commentary, I overhear things in my dreams that are hidden from me at work, and I walk in the next day fully informed as to what is likely to happen etc. Nifty trick but no lotto numbers yet. Make peace with your ability to 'read' a little, and it will become your friend, and you can even go to sleep letting your mind wander over a situation, and you may well wake up with the answer. Let the other 90% of the brain do the work!
