| I was in somewhre like San Francisco climbed the hill to a point where I was able to look down a street to the harbor, at a row of fish shops, one was run by an Aussie, I tried to sell him some old european cookies, he offered me a buck, I think I saw the inside/back of the shop. I walked away and then I looked up and saw a HUGE tidal wave somewhat suspended for a second - then as the top started to curl over, then (becuase I know consciously what 'tidal waves' mean in my life) I moved quickly to a small space between the buildings where there was some iron railings built into the wall. I wrapped my arms around the railings and started to hyperventilate to get lots of Oxygen into my lungs, peeking out to see when it was about to hit,(it was supposed to come straight down and crush us) I think it must have hit way down the hill, cos I saw the foam (it looked like it was fighting about, not coming straight down - it had also changed direction for the foam to appear at the bottom of hte hill) then the water came in, and quickly covered me, I struggled underwater along the front of th shop and inot the door way, where there were two more people, I led them to the stairwell/hatch (looked like huge AC ducting with turns) and we swam up, turning and kicking off the walls to get to the surface which was three floors above. I popped up, Roger Daltrey (whose face was the last hting I saw on TV last night) and a guy who was naked but covered in dark hair whose face was turned away from me. We then headed for the windows to take a look at what was happening.
I woke up and told husband to make sure he had cash and his ID in his pocket before going to work today 9-11-02, and to come straight home regardless if there is any trouble today.
I have not dreamed like this since before 9-11, it was not a premonition, it was a dream whre I seemed to have a lot of control, and usually tidal waves precede huge changes in my life....always water.......saw a huge storm before 9-11-01, but it was much more symbolic, this current dream was full color and I was much more in control of my actions. Also I fly on Air India next week to UK........What do you think guys? |

Let me know when you're arriving. I'll bake cake and we can all have a tea party!!!!!
Hyperventilating and holding onto railing was sensible quick thinking. You did'nt freak out. So with any luck if you apply this in waking life to whatever may be around the corner, looks like you'll survive, come back and keep us all entertained with more wit and humour. |

Hi there Marmelade, I will be visiting Mother (like Norman did....) so this could be the tidal wave of depressing emotions, but I did swim up three floors to safety, and If I think about being in a confined space (like.... the UK)with her, I really do hyperventilate....if this is all it means, I will get through it, I was just worried that the Wave may signify global events that we cannot overcome. However, my husband was not in the dream, and he is travelling with me, so it may well just be 'dealing with family' that will try to drown me again.
What kind of cake? (I like every kind) |

Yup, I love cake too, so I can't decide.
Have a good time over here and don't think just because you'll be on vacation that it's an excuse to not log on.
have fun, well try. |

Hi Neesoj, the other night a sent quite an indepth reading of your dream which took some time, unfortunately it has'nt arrived here so here is a 2nd
'highlighted' version if you don't mind.
I wonder if the relationship you have with your mother needs an emotional push or even 'harbors' bad vibes from the past?
Cookies were offered for sale- were these the kind that mother used to bake? And the dead fish, bereft of their mother, the sea also, for sale!
Obviously the tidal wave suggests tremendous, powerful emotion - could your mother be the iron railings that you had to throw your arms around to save yourself?
You mentioned the 3 floors and 2 men and I wonder if this is significant of a prominent problem that affects you and your mother - are there grandchildren?
Maybe that 3rd floor that you were so proud and amazed to get beyond is a symbol for a 3rd generation?
Anyway like a said this is a more concise version so hope it helps - I know you'll let me know what you think!
PS Have'nt got a clue who that Aussie is, have you?

went to UK, mother was a pain in the a*** as ever, My sister and sister in law both reacted like they had been electroshocked when I mentioned her (they deal with her all the time) While at her house I noticed that she has switched to soy margarine, and thought, "oh my god, she is planning on living forever!" I did notice an extreme stress level caused by having to interact with my parent, which resonated afterwards for some time, but the end result is that it is over and done, and I don't have to see her again for a while. I was as nice as I could be to her, got the hell out after 3 days, went to london, went to venice, rome, florence, bought a lot of stuff, ate a lot of stuff, home tonight. Trust you don't really want the details of the childhood, it would make a very depressing book. Incidentally, I now understand my dream the other night, when a white wolf surrounded me like a blanket but was smothering me, so I pushed it off and ran after my husband....which is where I live happily today. The End! |

very interesting, never htought about it before, there were three flights of stairs to the third floor attic where i moved to in our house to get away from parents (and just screaming family really) mum was married twice, I am on second marriage, (both sisters on second or third even) and I have staunchly resisted having kids cos why perpetrate a third generation of this 'not working' family relationship, brother and sister moved to australia, I ran to america, mother in UK. Anyhow, I am safe now.....except when she shows up in a dream occassionally, she once showed up in my lving room in a dream, and I told her to get out, and she said, "I only stopped by to tell you that you have cancer" so I threw her out and slammed the door. I woke up, i didnt, dont and hopefully, will never have cancer. Boy, she brings me joy! |

hi there im from Australia and although i feel no connection to that dream you had id like to recap on my tidal wave dream ive posted beofre. i dont surf or have any connection to water so it was unusal for me anyway i watched as this giant wave approached me and i had no where to run so my best option was to dive into it which i did and then woke up some what frightend.
I have no location in that dream only the image of the wave coming, must of been about 3 seconds worth of viewing the wave before i dived into it and awoke.
Now sometime before that i had an interesting experience. I had just left my house and heading towards the train station, 5 minute walk, now on the way i walked over a football field to which the smell of salt was all around me it was strong and intense, i wouldnt say sicking but very close, that lasted for about 5 seconds. When arrived home I booted up my PC and checked the daily news sites and so forth and had found out that that a over 7 magnitude earthquake had struck in the ocean below South Australia, I live in Melboure so its quite far off but still i found that an interesting experience. Ive lived here for over 10 years, i see the field everyday i actually play on it during our football season so like i said it was interesting.
Now to a dream i had just recently, about 3 weeks back, i was at a friends house and the wind started picking up dramitically, his front doors swung open, we were inside and some girl too, not sure who she was.
As the doors were swinging the first being a wooden door with glass(from inside) and the second a fly screen door. Now i closed the fly screen door first and as i went to close the main door the fly screen swung open again this time i went outside and looked over my right shoulder just over the roof of the house, there was a tree to the left of the roof and in between that i could make out where the wind was coming from but it wasnt wind it was black ash and volcanic rock heading straight for me just like a volcano had erupted i ducked back inside and didnt manage to shut the fly screen door only the main door and then i woke up again feeling somewhat amazed and confused.
There have been a few discussions on tidal waves hitting the eastcoast of Australia, a few prophecies here and there but thats like any country only time will tell. |

very interesting final dream there with the volcano stuff. I personally find that dreams with water (always dramatic huge water) tend to mean huge changes, sometimes leading to physical and emotional upheaval. Volcano is new to me, does sound like a very dramatic maybe even dangerous/fiery event may go thru your life, you may go thru a natural disaster of some kind, again that fact that you saw it coming and werea ble to close the door on it, may be just as an example, you let someone into your life, they create great upheaval and drama, and you see it coming before it engulfs you, you slam the door on the situation. Good luck to you, Neesoj! |
| neesoj (no login) | who was the hairy guy? | October 10 2002, 7:12 PM |
he really looked like a soaking-wet cave man or a clone, his face was turned away, and I remember trying to find out who he was? It intrigued me and scared me, this guy was very white-skinned, black all over long straight body hair (had an ex boyfriend like this, prefer not to remember-but it was not him) I think bearded hairy but really looked like a full size clone like in bad tv movies.......he survived the flood and was born as we came out of the top of the water in the house.....I never saw his face..... |
| Klax (no login) | hey | October 11 2002, 3:04 AM |
yea about the hairy man it could be that after the tidal wave occurs that we go back to living like the cavemen or at least back to mother nature. |

I had a dream on the same subject. I seen the big az tidle wave moving into the coastline. I then moved myself into an ocean front house to see the reactions of the people in the home, to what was about to take place. In my dream it was dark out or better maybe an overcast. I moved out through the skylight where the wave could be seen before it broke. The house was destroyed. I don't know what happened behind me cause I never turned away from the wave. Maybe these dreams are related. Maybe are reactions were just different??? |
| neesoj (no login) | hey there Randy | January 2 2003, 6:29 PM |
nice to hear from you; interesting dream, part in relationship to you personally (you never turned away, maybe you are ready to face whatever threatens you now- good for you) and partly cos if you live inland, tidal wave dreams are unusual, do you think it was more personally directed, was the house or people familiar, or was it more a 'seeing' thing, where you are witnessing an event that may happen to unrelated people? Any ideas where this tidal wave was, was it a real wave or a symbol for something that will come up the coast? which coast, etc? |

cos the news just reported the birth of the first cloned baby...... |

I'm sure no body I know, But seems most my dreams are like that. I try to talk to people but they just don't know I'm there. I've had dreams of twisters them as well the same. I live in Missouri the weather here has been strange lately. Snow and ice one day 70's the next. I think there maybe connection to all this. Problem is too many people with differences, can't agree on anything and ultimately there is at least one god behind every flag. I can say "maybe my god is the same as theirs". What could they say to that? Probably "oh hell no, time for holy war. Bush better watch out, just go ahead and send 250,000 troops marching through Bagdad. Saddam not afraid to kill his own he may be thinking what's the loss of one city to make a point to the world. Nuke Bagdad when American troops are instilled. Bad feelings. |
| Paula (no login) | tidal waves | January 21 2003, 11:14 AM |
It was said by Saddam that he will destroy the American troops at the gates of Baghdad and if one looks at the location, this is the farthest inland point in the Persian Gulf. In tidal waves this would happen if he did this to completely submerge Bahrain and the causeway and to flood the Euphrates and the River Nile once again as the once flooded aqifers and waterways are just dredged infill of aggregates. Where would Saddam and his followers live if he did this. The answer is he would pollute for millions of years in order to be a Pharo of sorts and to be in death an entombed head of state in the underground caves with sophisticated satellite systems as Bin Laden had in Afghanistan.
Water is very central to his cause and not oil, for he needs the activity of water and it is the arabic for water that will be the signal he gives and do not know what this means. In the next fews hours he will snap completely, his anger is now out of control, there is much electricity in the air. | |
