DEath Ship with US flag in water...

ok, I dreamed I was on a ship that was like a warship/frigate dark dark grey, dark dark grey skies, night- lit creeping/sneaking out to sea, heading toward (I think) Ellis Island/island in waterway, it was a disaster bound voyage, grim, someone showed me how to turn it around, I was turning the whole ship around, we had past my clothing in the water, as we swung around we (who was it?) managed to fish teh US flag (which was battered looking) out of the water and we were sailing toward the US again....

I have some ideas, what do you get from this?

Victory

It sounds like a bit of a victory dream to me. Maybe to do with the impending war, its gonna be tough going (obviously) but you managed to turn the ship around, could that mean that although there could be a war with iraq, we could look as though its a losing battle, but we'l turn it around and somehow stop the war. Clothes in the water, is that lives lost, I hope not, but you find the US flag, sounds like a good sign to me. I had a dream about the Iraquis, read it if you like and tell me what you think, i'm gonna submit it right now. Had another telepathy dream too, so tell me what you think, I hope it was just a fear dream.

to note that I am British, I live in US, and I oppose any young lives being lost, specifically, somebeing showed me how to turn this ship around, my clothes wer absolutely beyond rescuing, too far behind us, but as we came around someone helped me pull US flag from the water...
I dont know if this dream is personal, or global....

Voyage of emotions?

British born, yet the clothing you wear is of the US.
To lose your outer garments is a very personal sugestion, you passed them without heed yet the flag you saved?
In Britain it feels like we are being dragged into this impending conflict by the USA but this is now your home.
In Britain the impact of world war is never far away, only 2 generations, yet the USA has never been aflicted by the stories that Mum and Dad related to us when we were young. This may give you the instinct to try and save the american people from such horrors, that as individuals they can shed their loyalties to their national leader in order to save their pride of nationality.
You must be double-torn over the prospect of war as it involves your life and your roots, yet as an individual you probably want no part in it.
I hope that many others in the USA try to reverse the direction of the 'ship' but it seems that the captain has other ideas.

yeah

I felt when I went over it that maybe it means that the US flag will get battered but that the british will steer the ship back in, one way or the other, probably not by might, but by face-saving diplomatic solution/ I think that we reversed the ship headed for death before it left US waters,,,,I think....

I am also going thru US greencard process(long long yawn)so wondered if this dream just reflected the absolute crap they are putting me through, when I am a law abiding person but they dont know who is a terrorist, and so treat us all like crap...will probably wind up in a holding pen cos of some undereducated person's lazy clerical error....I have NEVER done anything, never even had a traffic ticket, really pissed me off when teh visa's for the terrorists came thru, after they died in world trade center, they lost my application 13 years ago, I am on my second try at GC. For those of us who are going thru the process, it is cruel and laughable....when I fianlly get us passport, I wil probably get kidnapped as US citizen....bloody joke....just let us live, work, and pay taxes....US opposed to immigration is a house opposed to its bricks......

use the disabled can....why wait?? A Blonde in Ft Lauderdale once told me off for going infront of her, she was standing yakking waiting in front of three emty stalls......shit fer brains, as they say......

After 13 years, here are the quintessential differences between the UK and USA

In UK- we politely wait, in the rain, in a queue, to see if we are standing in the right queue to buy what we need. Walking to front of line, will get you dirty looks, but no more. Tipping is not normal, or expected. Service follows suit.

In USA, first off, there is no word for 'queue' it doesnt exist. fortunately, they are not familiar with 'scrum' either, so for bolshy girls like myself, walk to front, ask if this is where you buy tix, and then hold out charge card and request two, at student discount!! However, you may then be 'removed' from that place at front, by larger individual, with no sense of personal boundaries that are so ingrained in the british that sex still happens thru a sheet....

TIPS - Always go thru doors marked 'do not enter' - its the quickest way from A-C. (When entering country, ok cant tell you that story, )but DO NOT ENTER is the way to live....
TIPS are based on service, shit service, NO TIP.....

Sorrya bout yr skirt stuck in yer pantyhose!!

yesterdayand today

May 22 2003, 5:52 PM

yesterday I saw quick shot of battleship that will be in NY harbor for the Celebration this week, it is exactly the ship in this dream, then this mornig I watched CNN interview with sailor on USS PHillipine (incidentally my husband is Phillipino...) he was saying how US navy is invincible....

Both brought this dream right back to me, as it is exaclty hte same ship, which in hte dream was helped back to harbor by unseen hands, with my clothes in the water, andthe US flag flying but not in a positive way. I hope AQ are not planning anything to destroy these ships during the celebration.
