jumbled dream, I was in Hawaii but it was mixed with Costa Del Sol ESPANA definately Barcelona came to mind, type place, stores were very empty, shopkeepers not despondent but waiting...no money coming in, few tourists spending on the streets, I was trying on clothes and trying to pick up last dress bargain in the closing sale at a place that I used to shop a lot. The dearth of people on the streets, it was like a sunday, but it was related to terrorism, fewer people travelling, everyone staying home for vacations I suppose, but also the terrorists had gone too - it was something about everyone who LOOKED like a hairy terrorist (you know the look, it is not a race or particularly a religion, it is just hairy and darker skinned) there were very few people on the streets who looked like that, even for example the natural spaniardss who look like that, curly black hair, it was like they had all gone underground...indoors something....

something that can have long term effects on our biology? ethnic cleansing thru gene control? Mutattions of generations that survive it/ just questions I have.

so I am a big Andy McNab fan (missed my calling, was invited to join the diplomatic service but took the job as a tour guide in Ibiza instead...oh well.) and reading one of his books today was struck by a sentence about how Al Quaeda operatives are everywhere, living the same lives in the suburbs and driving SUV's etc, waiting for hte moment to act, but that for some it hinges on payments to family, without which they dont act. Somewhat mercenary, but it immediately occurred to me that when an order is given to commit an act of terrorism, just like the guy who got the warning on his blackberry pager the day before hte World Trade Center plane act, individuals would not be able to help tehmselves from giving a warning to those that they care about, which would be a sudden scarcity of familys of those individuals in target areas....as soon as I read those sentences I though of my dream where there was a scarcity of terrorist complected people, (sorat dissapeared goneunderground or just GONE) trying hard to place the locations I saw, I went with my first thoughts on waking, Spain (which supported USA position, and has similar terrorism problmes of its own to combat, the meditteranean coast being a problem) and and Hawaii, which is considered a target by the intelligence services. So what is it I am dreaming about, the quiet before the storm?

Hi, neesoj, I hope is not calm before the storm! Our world doesnt need anymore wars/bad luck. I felt sorry for the people in your dream as countries like Spain/Greece/iraq etc etc are incredibly poor as it is, and most of the people, obviously, are very innocent. You were trying clothes on in a shop, were you oblivious to what the people around you were feeling? Although that doesnt sound like you. cos in the face of unemployment I ahve been shopping a lot! but I am a frugal girl, never did spend my money on Armani, a new pair of shoes only cost me $5-10, so I can still shop while others bemoan their credit card debt. Choices we make...

Carry on spending, theres nothing quite like a bit of retail therapy in a girls life!!! But just be careful, maybe is what your dream is saying, dont spend too much, mind you if it was me I would blow the lot!! Love Michelle xxx

Neesoj - if you are out of work, you MUST try submitting a manuscript for publication. You are an awesome writer, so funny, so many funny comments interjected into your writings. I want to have quality of life and a life that nurtures me. I asked myself what would I be doing if money were not an issue and it was writing. So I've begun a book. Have two chapters finished so far and am seeking an agent and have written to two of them. I am told I'll get a lot of rejection letters but may one day hit the target. While you are out of work, WRITE, WRITE, WRITE. You are a great writer, truly you are. Take that talent seriously.

Your dream reminds me of a dream I had and later someone confirmed it was accurate. I dreamed I was on the beach and there was no water anywhere, only hundreds of fish in little puddles flopping around. Then a great sound began and I noticed a rise in the distance that grew to a giant wave which finally overtook me. I later learned tsunamis do like that, pulling the water out before it hits and there is also an eery calm before it hits. Your dream does sound a bit prophetic but I certainly hope not. Too bad we can't send our dreams to heads of state and warn them!
