This is rather graphic, so some may wish to pass on. I had a dream that I had a miscarriage. I was looking in the mirror naked as often we girls do, when I noticed that I had an excess of pubic hair. Curious, I tugged on the tuft of hair and lo and behold, a tiny, purple baby came out (blood and amniotic fluid as well). It was extremely vivid and really sort of haunts me. I did get some rather upsetting news about my friend being diagnosed with cancer about a week afterwards, but for some reason this dream perturbs me even more than bad news stemming from reality. Besides the fact that I had no control over the situation, it almost felt like what I assume a lucid dream feels like. I really appreciate any imput, I am new here... it feels like the small amount of information I have gathered thus far is far off base. For the record I have never been pregnant. If more information is needed, let me know.

quality simply becuase of hte color purple. Unless you mean like a bluish baby, which is a more natural thing. Certainly very strange, could represent having something removed? was there any aspect of 'new life' which a baby would normally represent? Is some new venture or idea totally stymied at this time? Is there a large obsttacle in your life that you dont even account for becuase you enver thought of that person as an obstacle to your growth?

Too many Grapes?

It's funny that you should say "cartoonish" because the end of the dream seemed a bit like a cartoon, as though he had transformed into a toy baby, but not as though I had the realization that it was a toy all along. And he was a bit more bluish than purple, which I've read signifies a feeling of disappointment. As far as matters in life, I recently started a relationship again with an ex, who could very well be a barrier between me as I stand today and who I wish to be in the future. Perhaps my unconscious is telling me that the relationship isn't going to be what I expect. In the vein of bad news, he got into an accident a couple of weeks ago, this was after the dream. Many people I know have been diagnosed with cancer, one of whom (the mother of a friend) died. Nothing is being removed, from my knowledge...I've also read that to dream of a stillborn baby could be a premonition of bad news and, as you said, ideas prematurely squashed. I just wish the delivery of the message (no pun intended) was more gentle psychologically.

your brain did not want to send you a gentler message, as maybe it would nt make you work so hard to figure it out, and take it seriously! Plus if youre hair is now purple, maybe the baby is you? somehow? Time for change.....
