In my dream I had befriended a man who had something frightening or shady about him, my father, in the dream, tried to relay this to me, but then the man killed my father, so I stabbed the man in the heart with a knife, right up to the hilt to make sure he was dead, then I went to my mother and was crying but it was like a waterfall running from my eyes.

The mother and father in my dream, were different from my parents in real life.

I woke up from the dream feeling sad and frightened.

you could be picking up on someone elses life, events as dramatic as these would leave psychic impressions, which you may have picked up on. I get other people's stories all teh time, whole backgrounds and childhood stuff htat is not mine.

YOu could take the pick it apart psychology route, you fear something hurting your father, and what it would do to your mother...shows strong feelings to protect them from hurt.
