The dreamer describes "an earthquake" hitting New York, but the description matches the events of 9/11.

It is an odd feature of dream premonitions that the cause of the foreseen event is often not seen, or is rationalized in some way. It is as if the unconscious censor has "edited" information which appears to be impossible or improbable. In some cases the cause of the event is represented symbolically. For example, one of the many people who had a premonition of the Aberfan disaster - in which a school was buried in an avalanche of coal - saw "black horses galloping down a hill".

One thing, has this dream been verified with regard to when it was posted...as the internet is manipulable.

YES THE BRAIN DOES CENSOR AND JUSTIFY - and for me I think it happens right upon waking...rush to judgement to fill in the blanks and justify/raltionalise what I just saw in a dream. I try hard to separate the dream images from waht I think it must mean....and my waking justifications....

For 9/11, I just got a huge flash of red/fire/thunder/explosion type from within a huge storm type cloud...and then a series of pictures of how it would affect my life....for me it seemed normal that it would be some huge storm...as for me wild weather/water in dreams indicates huge changes, so I was not too concerned about the flash in the sky, but I did tell co-workers (at the risk of being considered nuts) and actually everyone i communicate with about it, IT wanted to be told, and written down, and it came out of my mouth, volunteering I SEE strange stuff in dreams, AND THIS IS WHAT IS SAW...even though they didnt know me too well....the dream/vision that really boethered me was when my dead father showed up by the bed struggling to tell me something....I talked about that at work too..it had to come out of my mouth....he was there for a reason...
