i dreamt i was in bed with a new partner for the first time, and discoverd that the whole of my left leg was completey tattooed.I have not been able to find out what this means.Can anybody help me with an interpretation?

An interesting dream. Sexual, of course.... and also to to with possessiveness (on your part, that is).
What it indicates is that you felt in some way insecure about your partner. Possibly you felt, deep down, that he wasn´t to be trusted (and, since this unconscious impression manifested in dream symbolism, it was probably accurate!).
The tatooed left leg is a motif I have come across before, and always in the same context. In simple terms, your left leg had become a snake; a kind of sexual tentacle to both arouse and ensnare your lover.
Your right leg remained "you", indicating that, whilst you were determined to hold on to your partner, you were not prepared to fully give yourself to him. In other words, you were determined to stay in control of the situation (or the relationship).
This would suggest to me that you had recently come out of a serious/long term relationship with another person, probably someone who had a controlling influence over you.
