New Marketing Image

There is nothing revealing what the 'new marketing image' is anywhere on the web site other than the mention of it on the front page ??

What does it involve / or likely to involve and how is it going to benefit the club now and in the future??

An extraordinary meeting is a good idea to promote the changes, but the youth / junior teams are the foundation of the club. Unfortunately a Friday meeting does not indicate to me their voice will be heard at all.

Will managers / coaches be advised of proposed changes to pass onto other parents and players who are interested before the committee vote on anything new ??

New 'Marketing Image'

June 26 2002, 6:06 PM

Hi there,

An email was sent to all coaches and managers, with a copy of the proposed new marketing logo.

I appologise those whose email address returned 'failed' or those who we have not got.

Please email the club address, and I will forward it on to you.

The image is also in this month's newsletter.

thanks,

Ravens

I think the NEW Marketing logo is good, it would look good on a beanie for the cold winter days at the netball courts or the soccer field and at training.

Logo is great for promotional purposes -

.........but does this mean it will appear on the club strip in future or will that stay the same ?

No, the logo was OK'd for 'Marketing' Purposing only. The existing 'Official' club logo will remain on all playing strips in it's current form.

marketing logo

The thoughts from people that have been involved with the club over many years both as players & ex committee is Why change?

Some comments like "the bird looks more like a sea eagle rather than a Raven. And the bird has no tail feathers. Why change something that has worked this long, its just a matter promoting what U already have".

To have two logo's can make things confusing. I know one is to be used for marketing and the original shall be used on Club correspondence and shirts. But the Club was founded with the original logo and should stay that way a part of the club's history.

If it's is a matter of marketing who is going to carry out that role, when the Club is getting bigger each year, we can't cope with the workload now. Trying to encourage people to put their hands up take on roles on the committee seems to get harder and harder each year.

We should concentrate on keeping the Club at a manageable level and do what we do best. We struggle to get a quorum at each years AGM, how are we going to cope if the Club gets even bigger. Each year we see the teams in each sport increasing, therefore we need more people to manage that increase. If we can find someone in the Club in the marketing area who was prepared to take on the role of promoting the Club and how best we manage that I'm all for that to occur.

Perhaps we should be carrying out a survey to members of the Club and sponsor's or likely sponsor's to ask them what they feel is the best way of promoting the Club. If its a new marketing logo or image then so be it.

That's my thoughts, and I welcome any feed back >>>>
