Shane Connor has been sensationally sacked from Neighbours. Shane, who has played Joe Scully on the show for the past four years, turned up for work as usual last Monday and was called into a meeting with the show's producers where he was told that his contract had been terminated. He was then escorted off the set, supervised while he collected his things and not allowed to say goodbye to anyone, according to the Sunday Herald Sun.
A source said: "The decision came completely out of the blue...He is extremely upset at the way it was done because he has given four years of his life to that show...He is bewildered, devastated and very concerned about the repercussions the events of this week could have on his professional future." The axing has allegedly left his fellow cast members reeling and the reasons behind it are still not for public consumption. Shane had 6 months left to go on his contract and the disappearance of his character could end up being explained by an undignified off-screen death.

My probs with Neighbours is the fact that I always sing along with the background music. If it's a song from the CD then I sing along with ALL of it, coz I sadly now know all the words. If it's the FANTASTIC Don't Look Back then I sing along rather loudly with that, with lots of 'la la la's and stuff but I LOVE the chorus, so I'm there going 'DOOON'T LOOOK BACCK! COZ NOTHIN'S EVER EEEAASSYYYYY' LOL.
But if you're singing along, it's really hard to actually keep on track of what's actually happening in the scene. Oops.

1. Another example of ppl having no history before moving to Ramsay St...Harold's son picked up an old family photo, and showed his wife (his wife of like 15 yrs at least) "Skye's mum" - his own sister! Surely she'd seen a pic of her before? Or knew who Kerry was????
2. Harold's granddaughter (new one...whateva her name is) starting at school, walking up to a girl and within 3 seconds, talking about Charmed - to show how cool they both were. Great cross promotion by Ten! And I love how they just recited Charmed facts at each other...like it was a competition! So badly written! LOved it lol!
3. Nameless grand daughter asking Skye where pool/drama room was at Erinsborough high - and having Skye look at her like she was a nutter for thinking they existed, and say "welcome to public education"...first of all...OMG do the scriptwriters just read a book of stereotypes and cliches and copy them onto a page??? And secondly - I went to a crapppppy public school and we had both a drama facility and a pool! And a music building (far away from everything coz we were all so terrible lol)! So there! Public schooling isn't that povo thank u very much Mr Neighbours tosser!

I don't know if I've shared this with you all before but one of my very very very favourite things in life is celebrity weddings - love reading about them, hearing about them, seeing bits on telly - LOVE THEM! Coz a) I'm a celeb gossip whore and b) coz despite my cynical nature to everything, I actually LOVE weddings!
Anyways, I HAD to buy Woman's Day when I saw that Ryan Moloney had got married! OMG! At first I thought, "ohhhh he's sooo not the wedding kind" - coz wheneva I've ever heard him on radio/seen him interviewed it seems like he was put on earth to take the piss out of everything and everyone at every opportunity! BUT LMAO @ his wedding! I thought this was dumb but quite funny - when at the alter, he got his mobile phone out, and rang his brother (who was obv. there too) to "phone a friend" just to make sure he was doing the right thing...coz he thought that'd be pretty funny! And awww coz Blair was "celeb chauffeur."

Life mechanics is good Lou!!!! It gives Mr McDonough a chance to actually act (and very well too, may I add) in the coming weeks - it's great to see him finally have a storyline!

Ohh please let it be Darren! I loved Darren! Altho the guy who plays him seems to be a bit serious actory, so I don't know if Ramsay Street's his thing anymore- but I hope so!
He was on todays episode SO MUCH and EVERYTIME he came on I started muttering to myself and making angry noises lol. In the end I just started yelling out ways in which I'd like to see him die. Mum didn't mind.
Seriously, I CAN'T STAND HIM!!!!!!! The whole family is bloody annoying, but he's just soooooo awful at EVERYTHING. I mean, we know that a lot of the acting is not QUITE up to scratch in this show, but this guy is like the new Ellie with his standards. FFS kill him off ASAP!!!!!

And secondly, OMG do Mal and Cath have kids??? (LOL I missed yesterday's 'Mal returns' ep, so maybe he said then but today Karl goes "Is Cath still in Adelaide looking after the kids?" - awww)

LOL today Mum was complaining about how awful Trixie is (oh and she IS!!!) - today was her engagement party with Lou. So mum burst out laughing and was like "oh yes..." in a disappointed way and I said "but I SO want you on the story writing team!!!!!" LOL.
I LOVE Mal Kennedy - I couldn't stand him when he was in it originally, but now he's great! LOL! And good to see he's now "Benjamin McNair" - rather than his old "Benjie" - getting a bit too old to be Benjie!

Today we had the ep that Bec wrote about on November 25th.
Here's what she wrote: Possibly the worst (but also good coz it was soooo bad) ep of Neighbours 2nite lol!
First of all - Stu having eggs thrown at him. Who seriously has eggs on standby to throw at someone they're angry at????? Was so funny!
Next - when Connor started thinking bout girls he's loved/shagged/fancied and then randomly picked up a stack of photos - and finds a pic of Lori, looking very pretty. I jokingly said "I bet he's gonna find pics of Chelle and Nina" - and of course, he did. And then Mum totally outta the blue - goes "Bet he's happy he came over from Ireland. Met 3 girls without having to leave his street!"
And the best/worst part - Jack with the "squirts" in the school toilets. A) WHY DID WE NEED TO SEE THAT? and B) WHY DID WE NEED TO SEE THAT AT DINNER TIME????????????????? I was trying to eat my tea....made me feel ill. What makes writers think we neeeeeeeed to see Jack in the loo....and need to see his pained expression. VILE!
I was having tea and toast whilst watching this episode. Think I could've done without Jack's toilet time being thrust in my face!!!
and LOL how corny was it that he just so happens to find publicity photo shots of his 3 girls in a pile of postcards and random photos of huts???? Who on EARTH has pics like that in real life??!?!?!?! It could at least have been a photo of him and Nina... or a less choreographed one at least!! Jeeeezzzzz!!
And LOL how pathetic is it that I nearly cried when Stu was being all sad in his house after the press started hounding him, and suddenly all the stuff he's believed in SO much starts to look shakey?? SERIOUSLY - tears in my eyes!! I didn't even get misty eyed when bloody Dee died! (Though I'm so gonna cry my eyes out if ever they get rid of Bob!!!) But yeah, and I was just like SOMEONE GO SEE HIM, LOOK AFTER HIM!!! And then when Taj said to Toadie "oh umm... I've got to do something first... I'll see you at home...." I was like "GO SEE BLAIR!!!" (lol, coz I know the difference between real life and Neighbours.... cough...) and then when his doorbell rang and I was like "LET IT BE TAJ!! BE TAJ!!!" I almost went as far as "I'll love you forever if it's you, Taj!!!" .......but I didn't quite care THAT much. And then awwwwwwwwwww, little Chooky didn't answer the door, he just sat on the stairs and looked all forlorn. BROKE MY HEART!!!!!
But YAY coz it looks like the Chookaburra of old is coming back (looks like my messages to Bec last night were overheard! lol) I so hope he is... annoying Life Mechanics Stu was..well...annoying.

I love that in the lead up to footy season, Channel 10 are footying it up big time! Earlier in the week, Boyd and creepy family stealing guy went to Blues v Pies. For someone who hates the show (so much so that I now leave the room when it's on, because I'm not allowed to watch it with my family as I am "too negative" lol), I am WAY too excited about Darren's return! There's an article about it in TV Week, and a piccie of Darren at Libby's door...awwwwww - and I YAYED! I was YAYing and my grandmother just looked at me like I'd gone mad...coz she doesn't remember Darren!!!! My mother's worried about me coz my 2 fave Neighbours boys ever are Darren and Michael - she's a bit worried that I like the "bad boys." LOL!
I told my cousins fiance that Darren was returning (she's a neighbours junkie) and she didn't believe me!! We spent several minutes going "HE IS NOT!" "HE IS!" "HE IS NOT!" "HE IS!" "IS HE REALLY?" until she was just as excited as I was lol...ohhh so tragic I know!

I've noticed One Good Reasons been on a bit here lately too...I always have a bit of a singalong and mum always goes "I thought u hate this show!"
Tonight was the best ever set up for a characters return...Lib hates going out with new ppl, coz she likes "familiarity" - so she and Steph pretty much listed everyone in the street Lib could go out with (can u believe she still ain't interested in Stu?? COME ON! LOL!)....such a set up for her Darren's return next week! YAYVILLE

And ooooo.. I look forward to Gus's psychoness! I mean, they've not exactly covered up his psychoness very much... well, I don't think they've tried. It's been obvious from the start (From the photo stealing onwards) that he's the all new Dr Darcy.

so far have only been able to find out home and away at 6pm...and saw the opening credits 2nite, but then it was dinner time! the're up to where Nick is just about the leave ... and Tasha punched that girl in the school .... unfortunaely - all I saw.
Monday to Friday, BBC1. It's on twice a day (WOOO yeah!!) 1:40pm (after the regional news) and 5:35pm (after kiddies TV - look out for Jake, he's sweet - and Adrian (I think that's his name) is kinda hot but has weird hair most the time) (LOL can't believe I'm telling you what childrens tv presenters to look out for... what am i like?!?!)
OH, while I'm doing this!! Watch Hollyoaks at some point in time - 6:30pm Mon-Fri on ch4. It's bloody AWFUL!! LOL! Like SERIOUSLY bad. But look out for Darren Osbourne (currently trying not to get caught up with the police involving credit card skimming even though it was ALL his fault..) He's my boy Des and I LOVE him (even though his character is soooooo annoying! lol). You can also sit and roll eyes at the tarty girls on the show (I'm sorry to be all grandmotherish but SERIOUSLY some of the stuff those girls wear just to go to school or to work at the laundrette... JEEZUS!!!) Oh, and you can just CRINGE from the godawful acting too..
OK, don't feel you HAVE to watch Hollyoaks just coz I told you to there. It might be too painful.... lol!

Neighbours actor dies from clot

NEIGHBOURS cast member Stewart Adam has died suddenly from a blood clot.
The emerging actor and model fell ill at his parents' Brighton home on Monday night.
He died on the way to hospital.
A post-mortem found deep vein thrombosis - a rare disease usually associated with long-haul flights - was to blame.
The tightly knit Neighbours set is in shock.
Adam played affable mechanic Aaron Barkley in the popular soap.
His devastated family was told the fit, healthy and active 24-year-old developed a blood clot in his leg that moved and lodged in his heart.
Other than a pain in his groin, he had no indication he was ill, until it was too late.
"The cast was stunned," a spokeswoman for Neighbours said. "They were all shocked when the announcement was made in the Green Room. I don't think anyone quite believed what they were hearing."
While Adam did not play a main character in Neighbours, he was well-liked and highly regarded by his peers on set. He was also a sought-after model.
Deborah Miller, who represented Adam at Toorak-based Cosmopolitan Model Management, described him as someone with the world at his feet.
"He had it all. He was the most special, beautiful person you could meet," Miller said.
"He had not been modelling long, but he had a huge future. There was international interest - he was smart, good-looking, well-mannered and extremely professional. He had everything. His death is a tragedy."
Adam's friends rallied to support each other this week, remembering a vibrant, special friend. Others were flying in from overseas for his funeral, which will be held in Brighton tomorrow.
Deep vein thrombosis is a rare, but deadly condition caused by blood clots forming in the deep veins of the legs.
It is dubbed "economy class syndrome" because of its well-known link to long flights. About one in every 100 sufferers dies after a clot travels to their lungs, causing a pulmonary embolism.
Former Australian cricket captain Steve Waugh made headlines when he suffered the condition after returning from the 2001 Ashes tour.
Those who are overweight, take the contraceptive pill or hormone replacement therapy, have a history of heart disease or cancer, or who have had recent surgery, are at increased risk of developing the condition.
It also has been linked to being immobile in cramped conditions for long periods.
He was only young. Although i don't really recognise him its still sad.

Last night was the final straw for me...I had to walk out of the room lol.
THE SHOW HAS NO IDEA OF RIGHT/WRONG/NORMAL BEHAVIOUR!
Max and Steph are like THE WORST parents of all time - I mean, after than food fight I thought they were weird..I mean, how many parents JOIN IN a food fight, trash their own house, and laugh at how cute their teenage daughter is???? But last night....(this won't ruin any major storyline Lou) - Summer just goes off with some 13 yr old boy in his Limo...which he's come down from Queensland in BY HIMSELF to take some silly girl out...and Max is, like a normal parent, going "Where is she?" while Steph's all "oh it's ok, she left a note when she disappeared with strangers!" and giggling about it. THEN the 13 yr old "rich" boy is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo rude to Max and everyone and Steph's all "ahhhhh don't be too hard on him" - hard on him? He was an awful little shit! THEN in the restaurant, he's all Mr Classy, and of course, Karl and Izzy are at the same place and of course, they have a food fight, as you do...IT'S JUST CRAP!
And don't even get me started on Max having a go at Jack!
