Whits are awesome! Their songs are quite different - some are a bit slow, and kinda sad sometimes, some are happy and fun (I love them!), some are clever and some are even a bit political, and statement making. Tim Freedman has a beautiful voice!

And he looked cute! LOL! And he's an old Adelaide boy so it was cool that he was home performing! YAY!

Have I rambled on at you all about No Soap Radio yet? I think I have done. They're a waayyy cool band - friends with the Churchills - and Pete and Diesel (both guitarists in the band) are lovely. They both post on the forum (though they're being pretty quiet recently - and I'm getting lots of crap on there coz apparently me and this other girl post too much.... but it's not OUR fault that no one else posts!! FFS it's so pathetic.....) ANYWAYS, yeah, Pete and Diesel are just crazy.

LOL one time Pete told us we should have posters of Diesel above our beds, and so we were all 'ooo yeah that's a fantastic idea' but the way Petey had written it, it wasn't 100% clear whether he meant a poster of, or the ACTUAL Diesel being hung above the bed. So I was like, well actually that might be a bit scary actually. then LOL Diesel posted in the thread, and COMPLETELY out of the blue he posted this random random raaannndddooommm thing about how it would be funny/scary/bizarre if a DWARF fell out the poster of him. With a vanilla milkshake. LOL!! WTF???????

LOVE those boys!! Plus I tease Pete about his stripy tie that he's wearing in all the live photos of him..... apparently he's not worn it for ages though, I think he should!

LOL I rang to pre-order Idol winner Guy's album today..lol because my mum wants it..really...and the bloke at the shop asked if I'd managed to get the single...and when I said I hadn't he whispered (actually whispered) to me that they'd just got new stock in, and if I was to come in and get it in the next couple of hours, I'd probably manage to get a copy. I felt as though I was trying to score drugs or something! I didn't have the heart to tell him that I wasn't fussed if I didn't get it!

I LOVE THEM! I LOVE THEM! I LOVE THEM!

tonight was awesome...even after having to endure the awfulness that was Pre-Shrunk. OMG never seen a bigger bunch of try hard wannabe rock stars...REALLY arrogant but had no reason to be...they sucked! Other support act, Mandy Kane was pretty cool - lol my mate didn't realise Mandy was a guy...she's like "So when's this Mandy gonna be on??"...."um he is..." - lol she thought I was lying lol! But then my lovely uni mate rocked up and he's a music genius, so she listened to him lol!

But then MGF came on - totally worth the wait! They're VERY eccentric and bizarre and ridiculous - and I love them! They're a bit vulgar, but tis all in good fun. I love Pinky Beecroft - absolute legend! Great voice, brilliant song writer - he wrote 2 of my ALL TIME fave songs - Unsent Letter and The Whits' No Aphrodisiac! ANd he's very very very cool! He's very placid and serene, whilst the other 6 band members are ridiculously hyper around him....very odd to watch lol! A grown, bare foot, man dressed in what looks like velvety pj pants, a satin kimono, a satin vest....I so want to know where they shop lol!

The nude bit was a bit bizarre - one of the girls in the group apparently loves to get her gear off...ok...lol!

MASSSSSIVE yay for them bringing my fave song - Unsent Letter - outta retirement! SOOO HAPPY! They need to "learn how to play it again" so me thinks that means they may play it at Robbie....coz there isn't too much of their material they probs CAN play at Robbie....bit offensive in parts - but Unsent Letter is a lovely song - sooooo fingers crossed!

Well LOL actually I've not heard it!!! I'm sure I heard someone on TV say it was awful though.......

I went to the Evanescence concert last nite - my friend had a spare ticket so I had to go! I knew about one song beforehand - the one from Daredevil - so it's kinda odd going to see a band u know nothing about lol! But they were pretty good - didn't go for very long though - the 2 support bands went for about the same time. A friend of mine's band was asked to tour with them, but they couldn't get money and stuff together in time which was disappointing!

Chris went and saw evanescence on Sunday night, and like you had very little interest in them. He thought they werent that great. THe sound was shocking and that the singer didn't have a strong enough voice to overcome the crowd.

Up to 16, and have so far had lots of Jack Johnson...which is never a bad thing lol! 2 of the songs I voted for have made the 100 - at 50 (The Waifs) and 23 (The Living End) WOO HOO! LOVE IT! And now Adam and Wil are finishing the countdown..YAYVILLE!

WOO HOO I love Jet! Jet boy rocks! Just interviewed coz one of their songs made it to number 18, and lovely boy announced that he really doesn't know what it's about coz he got bored writing it, so gave it to his brother to finish lol!

OMG had the most fun night tonight - the Idol concert was sooooo good! Everyone was excellent, and it was just soooo much fun! They did at least 40 songs, so I was very impressed with that - good stuff!

My recap...

The opening -everyone singing Robbie's awesome Let Me Entertain You -great way to start a concert!!! (As Mr Williams did himself!)

The young Matt - the formerly shy Matt who has spunked it up big time, and was excellent! He did a Linkin park song...and a kick arse version at that...who woulda thought (he always did kinda piss weak songs lol) and then a lovely rendition of Robbie's Angels...awwwww! I think I love matt chadwick! LOL!

Then the lovely pig farmer, Peter - who I think has a wonderful voice - sang Can't Buy Me Love - YAY! And then of course, his brilliant version of Burn For You - WOO HOO! Go Pig Farmer!

Then Cle...who I was a massive fan of during Idol..kinda let me down a teensy bit...just coz of her song choices...all a bit too funky...but still great! And YAY that she's got a single coming out!

Then the very quiet Lauren - who did a very fine version of Christina Aguilera's Fighter, followed by her very interestingly styled Imagine...she was SOOOOO GOOD!

Then Adelaide girl (cue screams..omg so annoying lol) Kelly/Rock Chick - who I LOVED during Idol coz she always did very cool songs...tonight was no exception - Evanescence's Bring Me To Life (and having seen them live a few weeks ago...gotta say she did it better than Evanescence lol) and No Doubt's 'I'm Just A Girl' - a song I ADORE!

Then another of my Idol faves, the lovely Bek - who looked sooooooooo pretty...Bek rules! Who did her song from the Idol album, and then Heading In the right direction...omg she does that song perfectly...makes me wanna cry!

Then..the low point...Levi. EEEK! He's good at what he does but RnB/rap/hip hop soooooo are not my thing. But omg EVERYONE there screamed for him...WHAT THE??? He did a Justin Timberlake song..which was good, then a really irritating one...but he does that stuff well. But GRRRR coz he friggin talks with an American accent!

Then the infamous (LOL) Millsy - who has totally won me over again...I was a big fan but then he irritated me, but I've now remembered why I liked him so much - that man is a born entertainer - does it soooo well! He did an AMAZING version of one of my fave songs, Bright Lights, and gotta say - seriously made it his own. Was perfect!

Then Paulini...who I was never a fan of...bit too into herself for my liking, but she does have a good voice - did great versions of Freeway of Love and The Voice Within.

Then Cosima's big return lol - putting on a big diva show with a big ballad to show she can sing again...YAY! Then did Unpredictable...which I have to say, I think she does better than Delta...it's a song on Delta's album that I loathe, but when Cosima does it...I kinda like it.

THEN SHANNON came on and omg I LOVE HIM! He's a total sweetie! LOVE HIM! He did a song from his new album, called Drive, which is very catchy and very cool, and tried to dance (not his strong point...but cute when he tries lol) and then a very lovely version of Better Be Home Soon...was great!!! AND his little strip dance before revealing he has the southern cross tattooed over his heart coz he loves Oz so much was ADORABLE!

THEN of course came home town hero Guy...after having the crowd chanting "Go The Fro" lol - very funny! BUt OMG ear piercing squeals galore! But good on him, I do like the little Fro loL! He did his new single - or as I like to call it, the channel 10 song, which I reallllllllly like (omg can't believe I admitted that!) and then Climb Every Mountain - an odd choice, but he does it fantastically...

so then we hit intermission...I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy! Loving it!

Second half started with everyone singing We Will Rock You - and all the boys looking very cool in their leather jackets loL...followed by Rob leading Superstition (A SONG I HATE...but was cool 2nite lol, the very funky Crazy In love, which I don't mind when Guy's singing it...with Bek and Paulini bopping along lol!

OHHHHHHH then of course Courtney Act (Lou, if you're reading she's a (he's a?) drag queen who was an Idol...who is so cool!) came out in an over the top pink outfit...omg I want those legs...so unfair that a guy has those legs!...and did Kylie Minogue's I Should Be So Lucky (ohhh took me back to when I was 8 and adored Kylie lol) followed by a VERY BRILLIANT duet with Millsy....singing Kylie and Robbie's KIDS! YAY!

Then what...ohhhhhh that irritating Shut Up song...to poor old Dicko lol!

Followed by Shannon singing his NUMBER ONE HIT What ABout ME? with the entire crowd singing back!

then Guy doing a couple of songs, including a beautiful version of Angels Brought Me Here...omg I love that song!

And then the encore was a medley of songs...(the ones they did on the show grand final too) - like You're The Voice (YAY!), Shout, I Honestly Love You (very odd that the 2 guys do that tho lol).....and ummmmm other songs...ohhh I Still Call Australia Home (LOVE IT)...OMG IT WAS SOOOOOO FANTASTIC!

I can't wait for it to be on telly next week!

lol i was walking round earlier today with that BLOODY house of cards song in my head!!!!! IT'S SO AWFUL!!!!

So I listened to about a quarter of the song, coz that usually helps get it out my head. i then listened to some churchills songs (loudly!) and refused to let it back in my head.

As you girls know, I am quite partial to a bit of boyband music from time to time lol so I was VERY excited about Human Nature's new album (altho my mother insists they are too old to be a boyband so they must now be called a Manband...she has issues) - which I bought yesterday.

OMG IT'S DREADFUL!

I love HN because of their lovely ballads, and simple poppiness - but this album - most of it - is way too funky and disco for my liking. Apparently they were inspired by the Bee Gees - and seem to think this is a good thing!!!!

There's one or 2 songs on it that I really like, but I'm VERY disappointed....

I'm hoping that it may be one of those albums that grows on me over time - which I have to admit, most of the albums I now love were once ones I hated lol! (I'm a little bit odd..)

my friend made me lend her Charlton single the other day.... she just LOVES the "floooohoooo" moment in The Last Thing... and of course she loves Deep, and i told her she had to watch the video too.

I might have to buy her his album for her birthday/christmas (her birthday's xmas eve) and send it to her... LOL! She'd love it!!

Personally, I think I'm gonna be getting myself quite a lot of Whits stuff when i'm out there.... lol! Two tapes just isn't enough!!! I NEED CDS!! I NEED ALBUMS!!!! lol

I was getting footy tix at tktmaster yestiday and I couldn't believe it, this extra serving lady came out and asked these 2 girls in front of me if they wanted Justin tkts ... and served them immediately, even though there were 2 ppls in front of them and then said to them "sorry, if you wanted Justin tkts I wouldda served you first, something like that which sells quickly" ... I will remember that next time I'm getting concert tkts! Pfffffffffffttt!
Then the 2 took SOOOOO long to decide, cos they didn't want seats at the first, they asked for general admin, then were told a 3rd concert had gone on sale (they didn't know - yeh huge fans!) and then for the 3rd were offered general admin, but asked if there were seeats!!!!! pffff. then they decide on general and they SCREAMED when they got them ... ok ... so he's SO NOT GOOD LOOKING AND HIS MUSIC SUCKS ... as did his bands.

Hmmm just heard Millsy's new single for the first time...it soooo doesn't sound like Rob AT ALL! Was weird...we were driving along, chatting about Shannon, which made me think of Millsy - so I mentioned to Rhi that his single was due out pretty soon...and less than 10 secs later they played it on the radio...very odd!

LOL, so as I text bec to say... I was listening to what I class as my 'second' whits tape (I love the Whits songs on it.. but it's shorter.. so the other one's like the proper one, and this is the extra one...) and it's got the GODDAMN AWFUL (sorry becster!) human nature song 'house of cards' on the very end of it.

When i started playing that side of the tape i thoughht 'i'll remember near the end and turn it off before that song starts' .... then i forgot. So the next thing I new the first awful sounds of the song were starting... so I LOL had to literally LEAP (from a seated position on the floor) across the room (about 3 metres in one leap).. pressed the stop button as i flew by and landed with a thump face down, stretched across the floor, upon many random objects and it bloody hurt!!!!

on the plus side, i didn't have to listen to the song though! LOL!

oh and bec... thanks for the sympathetic text message in reply "lmao"... yeh.. great.. i'm fine, thanks for asking... lol!!!

U don't think you're being just a tad dramatic there Lou? Come on...it's not that bad!!!! (Well in comparison to their new album - where they sound like the Chipmunks singing - why do I think that's bad btw? I loved the Chipmunks!)

I bought the new Alanis Morissette album yesterday - it's brilliant!!! It's like old Alanis - Jagged Little Pill Alanis, which is one of my all time fave albums!
