Neighbours actor Blair McDonough - mechanic Stuart Parker - will fly to the UK next month to film a charity video highlighting the dangers facing teenagers.
The 'Follow The Rainbow Appeal' has raised more than £38,000 in aid of Caroline's Rainbow Foundation, a York-based charity set up by Marjorie Stuttle in memory of her 19 year-old daughter, Caroline, who was killed while backpacking in Queensland in 2002.
BBC Radio York is putting together the video, which will show how various common situations can go wrong or be harmless, depending on how people respond.
"We're delighted that Blair is supporting our project," said Matt Youdale, Managing editor of BBC Radio York. "It is even more exciting that he will be flying halfway around the world to film on location in York – which I am sure will create quite a stir.
"We thought the involvement of a Neighbours star would be appropriate because of the obvious Australian connection and the fact that teenagers love Neighbours."
Also good to see he'll be competing in the Grand Prix celeb race...the only bit of the whole day I usually watch all of lol!

Got a very lovely surprise this morn when I flicked on the telly and heard Bert say "After the break, Blair McDonough" - YAY! LOL! He was on talking bout the Grand Prix celeb race, and was wearing his little racing outfit...and thongs. Interesting look lol!
LOL this is quite tragic, but when I got to work today and saw the date on my calendar the first thing I thought was "OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH tis Blair's bday!"!
