There is always celebrations held annually to celebrate our independence.
The Embassy will inform all of you however, if the Embassy does not have your contact details than it is rather impossible for the invitation to reach you.
There is another problem. Most celebrations are held in tokyo, which make it rather difficult for PNG students and other wantoks livivng further south like Kyushu and up further North like hokaido to make it to the celebrations.
When Aichi Expo was held in Nagoya, it was a perfect location for everyone to come and meet because it was more central and those who where ther celebrated the independence day too.
Lets all find a cental meeting avenue for all to share the joy of independence together.
