ODM leader Raila Odinga has appealed to Kenyans to end the violence and animosity rocking parts of the country.
Raila said justice and peace must go together, announcing that he has agreed to hold talks with President Mwai Kibaki.
Raila spoke after attending a church service at Holy Trinity ACK church in Kibera.
The ODM leader who was accompanied by his wife Ida Odinga, his brother Oburu Odinga, relatives and party supporters at the church service stated his wish for dialogue aimed at restoring peace in the country.
While noting that justice facilitates peace, Raila however decried the violence visited on Kenyans and sacred places.
He however dismissed the 10-member Truth and Reconciliation commission established last Friday by the president and maintained that he prefers a face to face dialogue with the president in the presence of an international mediator.
'mr people's president'as you call yourself, can you call off those mass action you have called for thursday then talk of dialogue because more people are going to die on that day. Kenyans want to get on with their lives they are not billionares like you and the rest of jaramogi family.
Mr People's enemy no 1, have you beaten a tacticle retreat or is it for real?
Do not think by accepting dialogue you will make Kenyans forget you led then into death and destruction as has never been seen in Kenya in just two weeks? Why should any Kenyan want you to lead them for years?
JUSTICE FOR THOSE INNOCENT PEOPLE WHO HAVE LOST THEIR LIVES AND SUFFERED ALL IN YOUR NAME MUST COME FIRST BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE.
If wishes were horses and I was Kibaki,I would not bother to meet him. What for???Let him continue calling his mass demonstrations. He has finally realised his omera people are starving and cannot go to the ring on an empty stomach?Surely he is loaded and could afford to buy them food if he wanted or has he forgotten he had promised them free housing??Out of that money cant he buy them omena seeing they did not burn lake victoria?
