Do not be duped by Raila and company.

The question that raised temperature at Raila's meeting was pre planned, agreed with Raila himself and he expected it. The question is full of message, propaganda and manipulation to benefit Raila in 2012 campaign. THE QUESTION IS A POWERFUL PSYCHOLOGICAL MANIPULATION OF PUBLIC MINDS. IT IS ALSO MEANT TO BENEFIT RAILA IN SEVERAL WAYS. The way he answered it shows him as a statesman yet the message in the question also gains him sympathy from the West for more support in his campaign, it reminds all he will stand in 2012, it remind all that Raila had won last election but was cheated out which wins him sympathy too, it reminds all his father was also a statesman who was cheated by the Kikuyus - THE QUESTION IS LOADED WITH MESSAGE, PROPAGANDA, DECEPTION, REMINDER,ETC ALL ROLLED TOGETHER.

Here is the question:

During question time, the above lady asked the prime minister:

"During President Kenyatta's era, Kenyatta stole everything from Oginga Odinga, during Moi's era, Moi stole everything from Oginga Odinga and again from you. During Kibaki's era in 2002, Kibaki cheated you and now in 2007 he has stolen the election from you. My question now is - what are you going to do to make sure that he will not steal from you in 2012?"

At this point, temperatures went up bring the meeting into a confusion before the master of ceremony brought back the meeting in order. Answering the question, the prime minister did not denial that the elections were stolen but he went on to explain that we cannot build with the past. We have to forget the past in order for us to build our country. Let us cross the bridge when we come to 2012.

The lady was picked to answer the question at RANDOM by Moses Wetangula (PNU) who was the MC.

It was not planned.

If it was, it backfired because the meeting almost ended in chaos. Raila said he is not looking backwards.

If Raila had won the presidency there is absolutely no way he could have settled for any other position, he'd still be camped @State House waiting for Kibaki to vacate...given hos personality type.

What he's doing now is trying to build a case to justify taking power by force come 2012. Seems like using force is the only way a reject can get his way.

I am not a political scientist but for sure I do not uderstand what people mean when they say the lady's questions raised temperatures(may be she raised males' temperatures! - but her question did not)

First of all she clearly insinuated she is a suppoerter of Odingas - whether it was stage managed or not the question was to draw sympathy or show how Odingas have suffered under Kenyatta, Moi and now Kibaki. It was not a clever way of stage-managing politics. Too shallow even my 12 year old son said it was obvious who the lady was talking on behalf of.

why cant you all let someone air out there views .. she asked a question and why should we judge weather it was an ODm tactic or raila trying to get more funds from the UK?? very sad kenyans very sad

We are talking about politics not a social gathering and it is politics that brought all the death and destruction we have seen in Kenya. Most Kenyans were cautht unawares because they were too busy doing everything else but not keeping an eye on what their leaders on all sides were up to. KENYANS HAVE TO REMAIN ALERT ONWARDS AND QUESTION THE MOTIVES OF THEIR LEADERS AND THIS CAN ONLY BE DOING BY READING BETWEEN THE LINES OF WHAT THESE PEOPLE SAY AND THEIR MANOURVERS. So nothing wrong in reading more in the question than meets the eye. This question even if stage managed by some Raila supporters at low level shows us what is in his supporters mind whether he concurs with it or not - I would not be surprised to know he liked the question even if he was not involved in setting it up and these type of supporters are the ones who believe Raila must have won and he must win next time - what about if he does not win? What will happen - we must manage risk this time and not be caught unawares and you can only manage risk by trying to read between lines and into the future.

Truth hurts, and hence the bitterness! If she lied the topic would be over by now.

There is nothing psycological that this jathee can do to change or affect an intelligent Kenyans mind.

His political CV is well known by right minded Kenyans and he can only continue to confuse his jaluos by introducing new false promises after his visit.
You know the ussual jang'oo attitude.
He will probably tell his fellow jang'oos the British PM has promised to give all jathees visas. He will maybe tell them that Kisumu will be renamed and be called "Port Kisenglish" Who knows?
