disability is not inability mama. you are disabled yes but not your kids. Maybe another factor is their age. they are considered adults now.Thank God you already have that status, imagine if you were in that state without mapapers?
Instead of mourning why not thank God for what you got and encourage your kids to work and strive hard, God knows all about them and will surely take care of them.Amen

Pole Dada. They do refuse applications off hand over there. My sister was refused a visitor's visa despite me showing them a healthy bank balance, a two bedroomed house and a regular income. They said she didnt qualify due to her irregular income. I wrote back and asked them how many British people of low income went on holiday. They replied by asking her to go and collect her visa. Do not give up. I dont know where you live but look for any organisations that assist African/Caribbean people and they can assist you to draft another appeal. Your daughter's application was made before she was 18 so that shouldn't affect her application. Good luck and Godspeed.

You have so much to live for

One, you have two wonderful children to call you loving mum; two, you are alive; three, you are in a position where you are getting assistance; four, you can share and talk about your condition; five, it is not over yet; six, ...

No one knows about tomorrow. The person who denied your appeal did not end it all. There is one ultimate judge who makes all happen. His mercies will serve you well; trust on His mercies only. Your children are growing up wherever they are, and He appointed you their custodian knowing you well. Whether out there or near you, He has the purpose and reason therefore.

The reason for not allowing them is not because of your disability is because they will be a burden to the gov't. I dont mean in the rude way but the fact is the govt is looking after you and therefore they dont want extra "burden" ie supporting your children. I am severely disabled too. I require help with my personal care and i'm stuck in the wheelchair. When I wanted a family member to come over to help I had to fulfill the requirements. I had to get a job. I know being disabled we are limited with what we can do but if you can use internet then their are jobs you can do. I personally work as an interpreter and translator. I dont need to travel anywhere. I suggest you get such job then come of IB or IS depending whichever you are getting. Your DLA will not be affected and you will get a discount on council tax.

Here is not like home. There are so many opportunities regardless of your limited ability. Imagine if you were at home (Africa) would the tax payers be supporting you and your children? How would you be surviving? Be greatful to God that you are in a place where you can leave your dreams and more. If you are interested I can introduce you to some of other people with limited ability and you will be surprised what we've all achieved simply by the sheer determination of not limiting ourselves.

I think this can be classified as discriminatory as regards your disability thus, you have grounds of appeal citing the visa denial was due to your disability. First of all your children are NOT disabled and can take care of themselves and also they can aquire work especially the 18yrs old so i suggest if you have a social worker that you have a good relationship with, you should ask her/him to support you in requesting a face to face appointment with your local MP and present your case. I am a practising SW and i am 100% that if you filed your appeal on discrimination grounds, you will win. Good luck.
