A hefty pay cheque is a preoccupation of us all. That 25p above basic salary can mean accepting or declining an appointment to many, considering that when the maths are added, that 25p might mean 'being better-of' or just 'worse-of'.
Ringera's 2.5M is just an arbitrary figure. How that has been arrived at is neither here nor there. So is every person's gross pay. It doesn't matter how much one makes, the ultimate is how well one makes of what one gets.
Giving Ringera the 2.5M for the next twenty years will not change one thing about him: he will still crave for more. As of today, his war is not so much as to the purpose of his employ but of his continued earnings. Yet, how many of us will boldly say that what they do is far more important than what they get?
The same applies for our personality. A cow will always be a cow even where hallowed and worshiped. Our pastoral brethren will forever fight for a cow however high they rise and leave their villager. However, our personality does grade from animal-like to spirituality.
Thus taken a step higher, our spirituality is the other end of our personality spectrum. Many are we living on the shores of our animal-like nature instead of venturing out there in the horizons in search of our spirituality. Yet worse, many of us who sail yonder for spiritual bliss end up drowning. Instead of seeking our spirituality well, we go for how much. We are even happy to purchase so that we are recognised of man as more spiritual than other brethren. Instead of living the little of our goodness as an example, we are instead proving how much godlike we are. We deem ourselves beyond human error, nor accept our fallibility.
Even our earthly beings need follow the rule of how well rather than how much. Owning all the land in Mau will not make one any satisfied and settled. Neither is being partnered with the most understanding spouse when our relationship are based on how much. Nor will pursuing and lining all known credentials bring any better enlightenment if the how well is not applied.
