i have no objection that use of condoms is safer than not using it..But what i do not agree with is that we should let our youth stop abstaining and instead see condoms as the solution. Why cant the society stick to the morals...i know its hard but abstaining is the best way...Now if our youth at home are encouraged to use the condoms then,it will be then their right to practice , for example a son mit bring a prostitute at home..n when the father ask what is wrong, the son will answer...i ve condoms dad,and they will do it in the family house...is this what we want in jamu?it seems that is where we r heading.i would advocate youth be taught something that will help them in days to come...teach values...let them know its ok to be virgin etc.in this way they will be ready for days to come...what would they do if and God forbid when they get married and coz of accident or disease one of the spouse is not able to have sex,,will they then go for condoms and start chasing or looking for somebody to have sex with?no they will need to abstain, that is one among many reason that abstaining is the best way.
