should i opt out of my nhs and state pension?

hi y'all.am 24 and am planning to opt out of any pension in this country(state and nhs).i understand the nhs pension is one of the best in this country.i dont have a set plan on how long i will live here but i definitely do not plan on staying here until am in my 60s...nooo way!! But i do plan on investing back home..so i don see the point of paying money into a pension that i might not get back...what do u think?no matusi please

Not sure what you are earning but I will work on a figure of about 30k. If you are on say 30k and you are in the private sector, I doubt you are paying more than £200 per month for your pension. That is £2k per year which if you did not pay pension would have to be taxed so it would be kindu 2k you receive, my question is what will you do with that money, bearing in mind you will receive say 150 every month which most probably you'll end up spending on some other thing. YOur pension is just a safety net in ase something happens, you neer know you might be here in the next 40yrs (and by the way, you do not have to be here till you are 60, if I am not wrong you can claim your pension when you reach the pensionable age, but I do not think you have to have been in the country).

It might seem as if you are wastingmoney into your opension pot, but it might save you in the long run. Just a thought...
