Folks...

Eli-

Its a while since i reminded you folks the absolute need for eating right and exercising regularly.

Sources tells me many are still downing pounds of beef despite agreement that there is need to cut meat consumption. Its a wise thing to do .But despite knowledge by many of you, that the beef we gobble here in western hemisphere may contain compounds that are unhealthy, such as hormones given to most cattle to accelerate their growth, many of you still are eating it as if there is no tomorrow.
Yah i know you are aware that most of conventionally raised cattle -also poultry & pigs- are treated with antibiotics, and fed crops grown with pesticides, herbercides and fungicides which then end up on the meat you eat, you simply continue to ignore the good counsel!
But for those who are like me, who are looking to eat less meat, don`t feel any blues, soybean makes life a whole lot easier, coz its loaded with high-quality protein and contains essential fatty acids Omega-3s.As a matter of fact soy is considered in Asia as `meat of the earth` since 11 century - so why don`t you give it try. You can indulge on soy products , like Miso ,Tofu, Tempeh, Soymilk etc -deriving same nutritional benefit you can get from meat and dairy products -and without fear of such as saturated fats or harmful compounds that give you cancer- not to mention other demons like risks of E-coli-
But dont go around saying am preaching aganist beef etc-far from it- all am saying is to be careful of what you eat .

Nice advice Eli but I'm sure all the muzzles will now be aimed at you. I bet on 1k that your boyfriend Patrick will fire the first shot. Anyway, In as much as I know red meat is unhealthy, I can't just help being a carnivore. Which brings me to the two ironies of culinary life.

1) The healthiest of food is more often than not flat in taste.

2) The dingiest of food joints always offer the tastiest of meals.
