I do not know what will ever open some Kenyan's eyes to the fact that the well known and smartly dressed man Raila is NOT leadership material and should never seriously aspire to be President of Kenya.
But starting today I will venture to shed a little light on this truth in a series of 10 informative bulletins. This first one is entitled 'POLITICAL PARTIES'.
Since the emergence of multi-party era (1992) in Kenya, Raila has formed and been a member of countless number of political parties. Forming and belonging to parties has been his hobby for 15 years.
Since 1992 he has formed or been a member of Ford-K, NDP, KC, ODM, Narc, Migingo, KADDU, Original Ford, LDP, Rainbow, Orange, Name It...I doubt if he can remember them all.
He does not defect into parties. No. He just forms themfrom scratch. It is vital and extreemly important to him that he has to be Chairman of something. Yet any inkling of defiance or squabble from Ruto, Orengo or Balala trying to spoil the Orange is a clear sign that another new party is in the offing.
Even as we speak he is probably planning to form a political party but he has long broken any record in the Guiness book.
On forming his latest party, Orange, he appeared to prod and encourage the opposite side to call themselves 'Banana'. So he would have been immensely pleased with himself if this had led to formation of Pinapple, Mango, Apples, Plums and Avocado parties. If those fruity parties had materialised as per plans he would have had the satisfaction of a mad man who had broken wind in the market place.Real change would have come to Kenya!
