I am confused about this topic. Please enlighten me anyone. The Kikuyu mythology says that Gikuyu was married to Mumbi. They had nine daughters. This is the "aetiology" of Agikuyu as a people.

Question? How did the daughters of Gikuyu and Mumbi procreate? Were they ever married? If so to whom?

Thesis time. 2 to be precise.

1. All the daughters were married by other communities. The luhyia, Luos, Kamba, Kalenjin, Meru etc. If so, could it therefore mean that there is no community or tribe called Kikuyu? How would there be if the daughters of Mumbi were married to "outsiders"?
If that were to be true, then, it follows that people insulting other communities here could be insulting their onw people - brothers and sisters. Even cucus.

2. If there no intermarriages, then could it be that Gikuyu impregnated his own daughters? This is a difficult one to sell!!!! Just like the Noah's Ark's 2by2.
But for thesis sake. Did Gikuyu father his grandchild? It is possible. But I know matusi people are salvating now. But beware with me. How do we explain the presence of Gikuyu linage if there no other men to sire children with the nine daughters?
If that is true, then can we infer that sodomy is inherent part of our community? That issue of incest in Gachie, Kabete and Kiambu are well told of. SO does it mean it is an in-thing? And the new case of gay marriage in London whose characters happens to be members of Agukuyu house hold should be easily explained?.
