FGM destroys a girl's womanhood and I so much empathise with those who have been subjected to it or expected to. Within the Bible as well as the Quran, male circumcision is emphasized and of late, it has been promoted for health reasons. What are the benefits of destroying this beautiful item that God gave you? Some charities campaign for the boycott of Turkish holidays because of this practice. In Uganda, a day off school each year is dedicated to pulling and nurturing this beautiful item and it does pay off. (speak to a Ugandan). Speak to Somalian girls who have been forced to do it in this country and it will just fill you with sadness.
