A sincere seeker and devotee can have no interest in the worldly pleasures and passions. These inferior desires have to be renounced, for they lie at the root of all misery. What exactly is liberation? It is the unruffled peace obtained through the spiritual endeavour of or cleansing of the heart. It is the negation of the impressions one gets through the senses.
