| No - That is Raial/ODM's wish - Kenyans should resist it | October 29 2009, 7:41 PM |
To refuse Kenyan wananchi to elect their President would be the most unjustified reform. Raila/ODM are pushing for this because they know their candidate for President will never be able to win enough votes but will be able to bribe MPs like they are doing so now to appoint their man for President or Executive PM. They want wananchi to elect a President but he hands over the powers to the Executive PM who will be appointed by Parliament. This system will be a disaster in Kenya and will lead to even more conflict and worse. KENYANS MUST NOT ACCEPT A SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT WITH AN EXECUTIVE PM WHO IS NOT ELECTED BY THE PUBLIC. PNU should continue to stand their ground in favour of an executive President with a PM under him or her like there is in Tanzania, Uganda and most African countries. |
