Why are we ashamed to call ourselves just kenyans? ...recently at a kenyan function for the diaspora ..everytime I introduced myself I was asked.."where are you from?" ...and when I said ..."I am kenyan" ..the conversation went muted as they expected me to say .." am kamba,jaluo,mijikenda, kikuyu, kisii or xyz tribe from Mr.xxy or lake abc in kenya.." ...am just proud to be known as a kenyan ...even Koigi Wamwere is sad to see how ethnicity is killing our country .. we at the diapora should live above the petty divisions that our so-called leaders are instigating ..enjoy this article
