When caught @ the amber light of life
Just wait there quietly for God to give you either the green or red light before you make that one move that can change your entire life toward goodness or badness. I know that with the weight of eternity in your hearts, having the faith to obey God can be a struggle. But trying to know which decision best follows His will can leave you paralyzed and indecisive. For God has His own right time for everything in your lives, so remember that whenever you think you deserve an answer now. In our microwave society we stand just a phone call away from a friend telling us what he or she thinks we should do and at these times, we easily forget Gods completely perfect record of faithfulness and love for us. Regardless of our circumstances and inability to see beyond them, we can always trust that God will always act at the right time!
You need to pay more attention to the yellow lights God flashes in your life. Or do you think wasthe timing right for Abraham to obey and leave Ur and wait 25 years for a son or for Moses to head back to Egypt; or Joseph waiting 2 years in prison though innocent? Ecclesiastes 3:11 tells us, He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
For those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. Then consider a situation that arises in which you have to make a huge decision. You want an answer right away, but you feel so confused, sitting at a yellow light in your life. Will you slow down and listen for God, or speed through life not knowing what you might run into?
