Mwalimu Kiondo is still available and he is a good teacher. The last time I checked, he was drowning his sorrows at Weathspoon Pub, Forest Gate with Mr Muriuki. He might take your daughter as a tutor, but if you could agree he carry his Pint of Larger.
Why do you have to talk about his drink. Where is it-written that a teacher does not have to enjoy?what is important is whatcyour child will comprehend/ or asimilate in maths. I know he can be wonder ful for my son got A star after the tuition. Man our private affairs, drinking or sex life is not import. Make it work for your baby. Mind your psand qs. This is last minute rush which does not achieve anything.
The GCSE exams take place next month through to June. Every parent knows this or should know this- and plan early. You should have started this time three years ago. A few weeks of rushed tuition doesnt work unless the child is able which doesnt seem to be the case from what you have written.
This is the problem with us Kenyans abroad. We spend all money on plots and houses and land and forget our most important investment-our childrens education. We can buy a house worth 10 million but cant spare £ 15 a week for our kids education
Tuition is only helpful if you start early - as early as from year 3 or 4 so that the child gets disciplined and appreciates education early-not when they are unruly teenagers. Rushing the last minute just doesnt work.
You live in Ilford which has the highest number of tuition centres anywhere in east London and you dont know any of them? This says a lot.
You can however check a website called My maths and see if its of help.
