Online Bank Transfer to kenya: Guys for you who do online transfer, could you pls advise if its cheaper doing it from a UK Bank to a Kenyan Bank. Or its easier just to use this worrior(waria) to do the transaction. I bank with Lloyds TSB in UK and got an account with Consolidated and Family finance bank in Kenya. And am hoping to get a mortgate with either family or consolidated bank in the near future hence i need to tengeneza my accounts with them back home.

And if you do online, what rates do they do?Is it a big commision they take/charge? So say if central bank is £1 =135..will the banks give the same rate? Or will there rates be less?

Just wondering, as it could save me the hussle of using Worriors(Waria)

Your advise will be appreciated

Mama watoto, you write very fluently in understable language. I think you are educated and knowlegeable. So I do not understand why you should ask these questions. I bank with LLoyds and transfer money to my account in Kenya. All the info you require about charges are their website, or ring and ask them. The answers you get here are trash or self opinions.

I can give you opinion about transferring money through Warrias. It is very 'expensive' because it is risky. I never try it even if they deceive me it is a free service.

Now, some people surprise me. you should ask the bank you are with these questions. People here in wangu sometimes are just hard to understand, you have coop here helping people but because of your scepticism, you will remain stuck and many others like you. ask around and genuine people ata misterseed would tell you this is currently the only bank in kenya with diaspore products specifically, go on the website for coop and look yourself, mnapenda kufanyiwa kazi... or if that is hard, ask misterseed
