Am thinking of exporting an LPG converted sprinter van back home in Kenya, for transport business..

Are they still registering them as matatus?
Are there LPG filling stations in Kenya?
Are there LPG service garages in Kenya, if none can i chnge the tank as needed???
Appx how much is the import duty on these vehicles?
Does it make economic sense for a small investor and will i get a desent return??

Pls help na mawaitha tu??

LPG has never bn heard of in Kenya hence there is no point exporting it here.Spares are available at DT Dobie for the vans since they are also very few to be honest. It wld make more economic sense to have it there. As a matatu, people are moving to high capacity vehicles from 27 seater and over.So you are better off come with money and buy an Isuzu mini bus. After elections am sure the 14 seater matatus will be faced out and you might be one of them if you export.

If u got more question ask and i will let you know bwana Kimani
