About time PNGRFU starts spending mega bucks to attract world class coaches to nuture and guide our budding Pukpuks to glory in 5-years time. Lets hope also that they can put the same kind of money into building rugby infrastructure to complement such spendings!

Niuginian, so you want Rapila and Co to earn this money? For goodness sake, they dont even measure up to Serevi's standards...Maski komplen nabaut...pasim maus, na sapotim wok blo Pres Richie na management blong em. The answer is simple: Serevi is worth his weight in gold! He will turn turns around for sure!
But Nilpis tu itok tru - The same amount of bucks must also be used to develop rugby infrastructure in the country and most importantly, the code. Lack of imterest from the POMRFU and PNGRFU as well as disinterest from the Motu-Koitabu villages (due to RL) played a big path in the postponement of the innaugural Motu-Koitabu Rugby 7s indefinitely. These are great initiatives in the development of the code which must be supported at all costs!

I have no doubt they will perform better than the previous 7's team. Serevi picked a good team and he said in the papers this team is nothing unless it brings back something for the people it represents.....
I am priviledges to have serevi as the 7's coach..he is worth more than 500 thousand.....

One loss in their opening day? That speaks for itself. I think he (Serevi) has done a terrific job and also playing for the team!! The team won 2 rounds out of 3 and are second in their pool!!!! Top try-scorer so far, ALBERT LEVI Jr. GO BOYS!!!! here is a bit of news:

(Levi finished the day as the equal leading try scorer with five and the leading pointscorer with 31 points, adding three goals).

"Serevi may not be as fast as he once was but he is still the general out there," said English 7's star Ben Gollings, who took over from Serevi as the IRB's highest pointscorer.

"But to see the great man directing traffic out in the middle of the park again is a great sight and an inspiration to the PNG boys."

Let it be even if it means doubling his pay. these are the sort of people PNG sports needs: God-fearing people with a lot of self-discipline. no more non-sense like the past; its time PNG sports got of its arse and started moving forward. the potential is there no doubt- its the discipline that we are lacking. So larim em ksim pay blo em as long as ol mangi play good na ino bokhet raun.

Kanda Kets na go PNG

Pay for peanuts and you will get peanuts

November 19 2009, 12:03 PM

Pay for peanuts and you will get peanuts
Sow those peanuts and you will harvest peanuts

Pay for quality and you will get quality
Sow that quality and you will harvest quality

So shut up and go complain about your MPs pays... and get them to increase all PNG salaries... Time to wake up PNG!

Great news! now its time to work on the 15s...how to go about it! It can be considered a good 5-year plan (is there one?) on how to get into the 2015 Olympics and the SP Games after that...but what about the 15s side? How can we get them to qualify in the IRB World Cup. Maybe we should be looking elsewhere too to qualify...bloody sick and tired of playing the Cooks, Niue, Vanuatu and the lot...

I say we hook Eddie Jones, former Wallabies coach. he is in Queensland and it be cheaper to fly him in and out of the country. Plus he is one of the top coaches and led the Wallabies to numerous victories. if we are to move towards better things for rugby, lets move forward. Eddie Jones will bring in plenty ideas and experience to show the other PNG counterparts how to handle a national team.
