Kumuls had no breakfast before PM's 13 match

October 25 2010 at 7:51 PM
Gary Juffa is the best PNGRFL chairman evah!

Toksave. The PM's 13 team had no food for breakfast on the morning of the PM's 13 match against Australia! Gary Juffa gave contracts to his mates for accommodation and transport but forgot about food for his players! Talk about basics?!!!!

Don't forget Juffa getting K100,000 for Kumuls camp for Cairns but forgetting to book the rooms in Cairns for the camp. Lucky Ipswich jets came to their rescue and gave them rooms in Ipswich.

Does Juffa know what he is doing?

What about when he booked someone on a flight to Brisbane
to pick up the players gear in Cairns.

Interestingly apparently they only received about a quarter of what was supplied.

WTF!

October 26 2010, 1:44 AM

Everything said here so far reflects the poor state of administration of the PNGRFL!Period! Here we are in the year 2010 and we have gone back ten years before the last world cup! The resignation of Adrian Lam as Kumuls coach took us back 5 years and with the apointment of Stanley Gene took us back another 5 years! I am finding it so difficult to remain proud of the Kumuls when the fundamentals of the game and the administration has taken a back seat BIG TIME! Juffa or whatever the name is is a total disgrace because I know he is as corrupt as they get. This guy thinks that by taking short cuts and not putting monies donated by the government and other major sponsors towards its intended use, the Kumuls can succeed in this campaign, well I think he is seriously mistaken!

Lets go back a few years when the Port moresby Vipers were given a GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY to play in the Queensland Cup. This quickly came to an abrupt halt due to the Vipers administration witholding their books from the Queensland Cup administrators! Who were the biggest losers in this all - the PLAYERS that put their bodies on the line each week! The Vipers administrators did not give a **** due to their corrupt practices! And it would not surprise me that Adrian Lam resigned because he could not work with corrupt PNGRFL 'so called" administrators. NO dont call yourselves administrators and think that by getting a second rate Kumuls side and coach make you guys legends of some sort.

Let me tell you bastards something, until you change your native brain mentality...Rugby league in PNG might as well just die!!I SAY! DIE! For once in your stupid lives do something that Papua New guineans all around the world can be proud of!!!!!!!I am pissed!!

Juffa selected the team

October 26 2010, 2:22 PM

Arnold Krewanty and the panel of selectors put a team list to Juffa. Juffa's list given to the 4 Nations organisers was totally different to the list Krewanty gave. Names like Keith Peter, Tyson Martin and James Segeyaro were missing. Names like Nicko Swain (Lahanis number 12), Mai Tom (Mioks number 7) and Chris Hogi (Lahanis number 3) were missing.

Juffa has never played a game of rugby league in his life. He is famous for being a sideline commentator.

Paul Aiton is doing all three jobs.
He is very stressed out because management not looking after the team needs and Gene has no coaching plan.

The Kumuls played without structure as seen by Kangaroos coach. Thats why They were a bit hesitant in their attack anytime a Kumul player can come up with swinging arm from nowhere. That's expected from a rookie coach. Gene should consider coaching a BMobile Team to get more experience.

Adrian was/is a coach assistant at the NRL level before being incharge of the Kumuls, but gene just popped out of nowhere with no experience in coaching.

Kumuls played stone-age football-no backline,no game plan.
Every backline player wanted to run with the ball like forwards, to simply impress NRL scouts-WTF.

this lambflaps kumuls dont have a backline, everyone is a forward.

Just been reading a few comments on Aussie, English & Kiwi Rugby League Forums and all of them are trully disappointed with the Kumuls performnace. Some are even question our right to be in this tournament.

As a PNGean reading such comments makes me angry because I know we could have had a better team (and better coached) that would have been pleasing to watch than useless lot from Sunday.

If Juffa and Gene were trying to market BMobile PNG Players than I think it just backfired. Non of this lot are going to get anywhere near NRL or Super League.

And Menzie Yere, Jessie Joe & Aizue will be the only players in England next year coz Wabo & Mark are no longer needed by Hunslet Hawks.

Instead of us PNG argueing about who's who in Kumuls team now. Just a insight. Many of the PNG kumul half-castes who were playing in the feeder clubs in Australia refused to play alongside the black kumuls because Lam isn't there. They would prefer the five star hotels and the black kumuls the standard common motel for lodging. They prefer to be paid the same amount as their compadres in Australian League, where as the PNG players are just happy to play for whatever amount they get as long as they play for this Country.

I feel for the PNG kumul's those that are even playing the settlement leagues or villages, if that kind of mentality must have disheartened the PNG native players.

Maski Giaman is right

Didn't Kumuls stay in The Weigh Inn under Lam for the 2008 world Cup? Not what you
would call 5 Star is it. Apparently Juffa was there one night telling some players
to ignore curfew and have a beer. Lam warned them about being fined but Juffa told them
to ignore him and started buying beers. Not sure what the final outcome was.

Chris Hogi-Best Centre in PNG

April 25 2012, 12:46 PM

Chris Hogi was the best centre going around in the Digicel Cup before he got injured mid season last year.

I think he has recovered and has played the first 2 games for the Goroka Lahanis this year.

Would be very good for your team Spacemen.

Hogi succumbed to injury towards the end of last year.Lahanis management decided to lay him off for the year so that he recovers well for 2013.Once renowned as a powerful PNG Pukpuk centre,he's one of the big buys for the Lahanis after defacting Rugby Union.I heared he has been called into training lately to boost the Lahanis backline for the finals campaign. With the vast international experience, the Bena lad will be one of the suprise package for the Kumuls for next year.
